its my friend who got that mail.
it says that she won a certain amout. they told her that she has to send her details to the person they introduced to her to the said letter. the letter said that it was the aniversary of the yahoo messenger live and shes one of the six chosen winer.
i realy dont know if this is true or not. shes asking me if i am aware of this. i told her that i realy don't have any idea about this.
then since we all keep online or somehow most of the time cheking our yahoo mails, i am asking you guys if your ware of this?

i am sure of this thing, it's sounds like a scam. you better tell your friend to ignore and not send her personal details, because i haven'nt heard of yahoo giving award.. better report it.

Never heard of this and indeed it sounds like a scam. I wouldn't send my information or even reply to the email. if she registered with yahoo they would have her information already and wouldn't need her to send it through an email. It sounds like someone is trying to steal her personal information.

She should report it to Yahoo, or contact them to ask if it is real, but I do think it will turn out to be a scam. I think it's someone trying to steal her personal details or get her bank details.

Yes, Yahoo did gave some awards ;but they were for some other thing;not Yahoo Messenger.It was some Yahoo Live ! awards ;only open for US citizens.
However;it was not for Yahoo Messenger ;I suppose.
Still;it is better to contact yahoo Site Administration and confirm .

i have never heard of that. yahoo will never ask for someones info so it sounds like a scam to me.
