But i have no idea which one that is! I just know the computer is an IBM and i know nothing else! Is there anything i can do about it? Does somebody know a solution, viable one? What choices may i have to solve this? Pleeeeeeease........

You might have tried every thing, but not the small hole. You said you can see the green light, that mean you drive is receiving power supply. So there is no problem with the power supply. Now try to use a ball point pen and try to press in the hole. you can find that hole on any drive it doesn't matter what brand you use it. It will be somewhere near to eject button. Try to find it and then press it using a pen or another. Hold it for a moment then your drive ejects automatically. The hole will be very small so look at the drive carefully, you can find it near eject button.

Hi there
Well there is always one way of opening the drive.. Get a paperclip, and look for a smale hole in the front of the drive.. Put the paperclip in it and press (okay to press a little harder :D), that should normally open it..
Seems to me that your drive is busted, I should go with it to a computer store, or just buy a new one..
Have a good day.. And I hope it will help....

hello friend...if you have tried everything and if it doesn't open check on the drive there is a small hole...put a pin inside it that should make it open if its jammed...try it..hope it will work for you
