In Italy too, you pay something (proportional to you eincome) on ypur montly pay, but if you don't have enough money you don't pay nothing and so it has to be, is scandalouse that in some country if you don't have an insurance you don't get cure or you get it only for charity in very bad hospital..cure is a right of every human bean, poor or rich

i know that in certain parts of canada it is manditory for you to purchase health care so that if anything happens then the hospitals can take care of you and everything is billed to your insurance company. then there are regulations in london were if you are hurt they wont bill you - but you wont find people in the hospital for fever or anything like that cause they tell you to go to clinics first. i dont know about the other two places you mentioned. i have been to london and was told that if anything that calls as an emergency then i would be taken care of. and my brother is in canada and he tells me you have to purchace for a small fee insurance but if anything were to happen they wouldn't go after him. unlike america were if you dont have insurance and you go to the hospital you are pretty much paying out of pocket and that can add up real quick.

In Canada we pay for our health care insurance on our incomes. The really truly poor don't have to pay and the low income earners pay very little. They won't turn you away from getting help if you don't have insurance but they will bill you and give you time to pay the insurance and then you are covered. It is a good system and although we here in Canada are always complaining about our health care it is still a really good system and we are lucky to have it.

I haven't heard that will not charge you anything after a hospital visit but I do believe that some countries do have wonderful universal health coverage for everyone. Here in the USA we do not have that. Some people go without health insurance either because the company they work for does not offer it or they just can't afford it.
It's very sad because many people who truly are sick do not get the help they need.
If the countries you did mention really don't charge people for hospital visits, it's amazing.
