I like to visit capital cities because there is usually a lot to see in them like great architecture, a fascinating history to find out about and they usually have superb transport links.
Which capital cities have you visited? What did you enjoy seeing there?
If you haven't which capital cities would you like to see?

I went to Ottawa, Canada and I was in London, England, but do not remembered much of the latter because I was only about two or three at the time. Now if you are talking about provincial capitals, I visited Victoria, B.C., Edmonton, Alberta, Regina, Saskatchewan, and we live in Winnipeg, MB. That is about all. I have no idea what the capitals of the States, and I do not know which ones I went, but I did go to Montana, North Dakota, Washington State, Massachusetts, Maine, West Virginia, New York, Iowa, Idaho, Minnesota, but we were just on the interstate so we really did not visit any of the capitals there.
Oh we did visit the capital of Alaska, rather small though.

I would love to go to Ottawa one day. Yes, I have heard that Anchorage is quite small. IT is wonderful that you have visited so many of the provincial capitals. The Pacific Islands have tiny capital cities that are more like a village than a city. I liked Apia, Samoa for it had a marine reserve that was great for snorkeling.

Firstly I am very fortunate in that I only live 25km from the city of London! Which I have on the doorstep and only takes 45 minutes to travel by train to get into the heart of the city. Other capital cities I have been to is Prague which is full of fascinating architecture, Berlin full of history, Nicosia (Cyprus) and Amsterdam (Netherlands) I love the transport infrastructure in the cities, especially if they have a tram system.

I used to live near London but now live in the South West. I miss going there and would love to go on the London Eye for in get a fantastic view and take some photos. Prague is one of my favorite capital cities, along with Budapest. Den Hagg is the capital of the Netherlands and it is small whilst Amsterdam is a lovely large city with much more interesting sights. I find going on trams a charming experience.

I've been to loads of U.S. capital cities of course, but overseas I've been to Seoul, London, and I flew out of Tokyo when I left Japan, if that counts.

I haven't been to Seoul yet but would quite like to. I am sure that it is amazing in Tokyo. I have been to Nairobi, Male capital of the Maldives and Victoria capital of the Seychelles. Nairobi had a superb market full of wooden animals for sale, Male was a crowded on a island and Victoria was quite historic.

I have visited Washington DC. I went into the white house, that was rather cool. I've seen the grave of John F Kennedy at Arlington Cemetery, with the eternal candle burning. I saw the Lincoln Memorial and the Smithsonian.
