I have two daughters and they are amazing. They make me so proud to be their mother. They show me myself in so many ways. They also show me that I will be just as proud while they are young as when they are older. I enjoy all the time we spend together. I can say that they are day and night though. One is completely different from the other.
If you have a daughter teach her that she is unique and there is no other daughter you'd have, but her!

I have a wonderful daughter that is now 18 years old. She is also the worst pain in the neck there is being a teenager and all:)
Actually I think me and my son get along better than me and my daughter, but I hope that this will pass as she continues growing and maturing :)

Tes, they say girls mature faster, but in our family my son - who is younger, seems to be the more mature, the more balanced. I know people will say " Just wait, he'll be wild too " but by the time my daughter was his age, she was driving me crazy for a few years already. Sure he has signs of being a teenager, and does silly things too sometimes, but it is the respect that he shows to me, and the interest in not hurting me that stands up whereas she acts as if she couldn't care less. Oh well, this too will pass :):)
Still it wonderful to have a daughter. She is extra special for me because I was so scared that I would be like my parents and not want the responsibility of children, I feared that once my child was born maybe I would want to give her away like they did, maybe it was genetic or somethng LOL. But as soon as she was born all my doubts disappeared and I knew I wasn't going to be like them. I wouldn't dream of giving my kids away unless I was forced to for some unimaginable reason.

Thanks for your excellent response. I am a teacher and see girls mature much earlier than boys. Children start school at 4 years old in my home country and lots of boys are not ready to learn to read and write at that age. Some teenage girls can be rather emotional whilst teenage boys can be much less so charged with emotion. It is a shame that you had doubts in your first pregnancy but once your baby girl was born you knew what a wonderful parent you had become. Every mother that adopts her baby has a story and often the baby grows up having an even better life that they would have had with their biological parents.

The teenage years can be difficult but I am sure your daughter will grow into a more mature person soon. It is lovely that you get on really well with your son. My thirteen year old son is very sensible, polite and kind. I don't think he will be challenging in the rest of his teenage years. He is intellectual and is fascinated by history.

HEHE, well, if she decides to go into fashion when she grows up, then I will do my best to support her and help her in any way I can. Lord knows fashion designers make pretty good money LOL.

Your nine year old daughter sounds like such a joyful talkative girl with lots of confidence. It is fantastic that you got the little girl that you so very much wanted. As you daughter is girl like and loves to dress up she will became a very fashionable and sensible teenager in a few years.

I have a daughter and she is 10 years old by now. She is the eldest and at her age she can help me out with the household chores. I can count on her at all times. She is diligent, loving, caring, sweet, responsible and trustworthy.

I have a very beautiful, loving, caring, respectful, fun daughter. She is 30
years old. She has given us 2 grandsons so far. She is now due in Septemeber
with a granddaughter for us as well. She visits us at least weekly as well on
the weekends. We have fun shopping and doing things with her kids each weekend
they are here as well. This Friday I am taking both grandsons to the local NASCAR track for a wild night of races and destruction and all around fun with the boys.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Your 30 year old daughter sounds lovely. It is exciting that she is having a baby girl in September, not long to go. It will be excellent for you to have a grand daughter as well as two grandsons. I hope that you and the boys will have fun at the race track.

I have two sons and two daughters. My daughters are ages 7 and 2. My 7 year old is a girly girl. She loves dress-up, cheerleading and dolls and all things girly.
My two year old loves to play with cars and getting dirty but she also likes playing mommy to her babies.
I think I have to wait a few more years to see what they are really going to be like. I am in no hurry.

I have 5 daughters, and no sons. Poor hubby is feeling a little overwhelmed! lol. Our 5th daughter was born just over a week ago, but we are not trying for a boy!!!! I get asked that all the time! lol.
Our girls are all different, yet there are some things that are very similar about them. All are strong willed and independant, but they like their cuddles too.
The odds of us ever having a boy are slim to none because of my husbands age. He is over 40, so produces more female sperm. It is proven that the older a man, the less likelihood there is of him having a boy and more likelihood of him having a girl. My family is just proof of the research.
If you plan on getting pregnant through a sperm donor, then try and find a man who is 40 years or older, because you have a better chance of getting a little girl that way.
Good luck with the plans you have in mind and I hope they all work out for you.

I have two girls, ten and 8 years old respectively. They are so lovely. Most of the times people think that they are twins, because their size are almost the same.
I hope you could have your own daughter soon, God bless!

I have three grown up daughters and I think they are all beautiful and lovely people. I am biased though. They have brought both joy and heartache at times but the joy far outweighs the heartbreak. I now have three wonderful grandsons. Think carefully before having a child, they are hard work if you want to bring them up properly.

I have two beautiful daughters. They no longer live at home. Both live 4 hours away from me, but we talk on the phone at least once a week. The oldest is 37 and she has two beautiful girls age 18 and 12. My other daughter is 28 and has two sons age 4 and 17 months. I also have two wonderfull sons. First son has three boys age 16 and the twins are 15. My other son has one girl age 8 and a boy age 10. My sons live in the same time as I do ,so I get to see them a lot and the grandkids.
