Just when I don't like Dan...or, at least, when I think I am about not to like Dan, he goes and does something that draws me right back in again. I am slowly getting through all the old BBADs, and there were over 20. I saw the one from the 6th (of August) and, near the end, Michelle and Dan were sitting side by side on the hammock. We have seen, on the show, where he tries to teach her the proper way to say some words but, this one was not from that same time that we saw on the show. He was working with her to say the words Car and Bread and Butter and, I think a few others. It was hilarious. He is so patient and I sort of think he is probably a pretty good teacher. It was cute, charming and funny as well as fun to watch and I loved it.
Did anyone else see that episode of BBAD? Did you get as much of a kick out of it as I did? Did you see what I saw in Dan? I just thought it was cute and charming and worth discussing! LOL!

I have always loved Dan and the more I see of him, the more I love him. I think he is so funny!
I think it is horrible of Michelle to say that she wondered if Dan really was a teacher....after all the help he was trying to give her.

If I recall from BBAD jerry infused the feeling in Michelle about the teacher aspect of Dan actually. jerry starts a lot of chit in the house along this line.

I think you are right GB. I think that Jerry did fuel that thought into Michelle's head. Jerry is becoming a big problem and, he is on my list now for people I want out.
Sunshine, Michelle has actually come to her senses a little about Dan as for today. I won't tell you why or how but, she has seen the light of Jerry and his venom.

Jerry is a trouble maker in the house. I think this is one of the worst episodes for fighting and arguments, if not the worst, and I think between Jerry and Libra, they are the ones instigating all the fighting...especially since Jesse is out of the house. At least what Jesse told people was the truth. He just wasn't smart about how he did it and it always backfired on him.

I don't think it was wrong for Dan to take the AP for the money. Everyone in that house is there to make money. But, it didn't help him in his game as far as strategy goes. People already thought there was something fishy about him before he was even given the option to take AP. So, it would have been better if he could have ignored the impulse to make some money and take the AP. I certainly don't fault him for doing it but, it would have been better for him if he could have kept that big target off his back for a little while longer.
Now...as far as Libra goes...I guess I understand wanting the Hawaiian vacation but, there were other things she should have gone for instead. She should have either gone for a letter from home or the POV. So, yes...it was dirty! Very dirty that she stole that from Michelle. I can understand wanting it but, sometimes there are better choices and sacrifices we should make and the vacation should have been her sacrifice to either get a letter from home or the POV. I am not a mother but, I can imagine that my family would have been my first desire in that competition. But, Libra doesn't seem to have all her screws tightened! LOL!

I didn't see that, but I did see the one on the show where he was teaching her Water and it was funny. I bet he is a great teacher, and I'm not at all saying that just b/c he went to my High school and his sister was in my grade :-D I'm glad to see that he seems to be sticking well with his principles of being kind and calm (at least that's what I think his principles are). People often come on the show saying they are such great ppl, and then they fight yell and scream. Dan hasn't done this at all yet, even when he's been under attack. Don't disappoint me Dan :-D We gotta show something good from Metro Detroit :)

I don't subscribe to BBAD (is it on Showtime?). I kind of have a soft spot for Dan, though. He's goofy but I think he is basically a good person.

BBAD is on Showtime Too. It is one of the other Showtime channels. I don't know how many they have but, it is one of them.
I like Dan's goofiness. I love to see people drop their guard and a sense of humor is always a pleasure to see unfold. Especially on a show where everyone is stressed out and on guard all the time. Dan is winning me over. Again, that is only today. Tomorrow may be a different story. LOL!

Dan is one of my favorites. And thats why he is one of my favorites, because he is a teacher. I give kudos to all the teachers out there teaching and putting up with all of our kids and some of there salaries are not great. Where is Michelle from? Is she from the south? I'm from the south and some of our language is not so great. I missed that episode. I only get to watch BBAD about once a week. Sometimes it gets too boring for me.

I think Michelle is from Jersey or something. She is not from the South. She just has a really thick Jersey accent.
I don't watch all of the BBADs the entire way through. I mostly fast forward through them and stop when it looks like something interesting is happening. It is way too boring to sit through 3 hours of it a day. I have better things to do. LOL!

I did catch part of that but I speed through it so fast that I usually never catch the whole conversation. I like Dan, I always have. Probably because I don't think he is a smart player and he really doesn't have a gameplan that I can see. I really don't think that it was fair to be put in the position of America's player. Come on did he really have a choice but to accept it? What would of happened if he said no? Anyway I feel bad that he is taking all of the heat for the Jesse vote and it was really out of his control. Although I just saw on BBAD from last night that he told Jerry that he was with him and would vote Memphis out. If he did that he was wrong - he shouldn't of agreed knowing that he vote wasn't his decision.

I have mixed feelings about the whole AP thing. For one thing, it does potentially hurt a players game like it has potentially hurt Dan's game. Also, while the HGs haven't been told that Dan was, indeed, the AP, they know it. They figured it out. Which means that they can hold bad feelings towards him that America loves him. So, that isn't good for him either.
He could have said no...like Plunk said. He chose to say yes. And, if he has said no, maybe BB would have just given the option to the person who came in second place. Or, maybe we just wouldn't have gotten an AP. We'll never know what they might have done. But, I can say, Dan should probably have just said no as it didn't help him in his game but, he did get $20,000 to take home with him so, even if he does get the boot in the next few weeks, at least he will be leaving with a nice chunk of change.

Three other people also voted Jesse out. Dan was just the last one to have voted. If they want to blame anyone, they need to blame all 4 of the people who voted him out. I like Dan myself. I really think he didn't have much choice but to accept the money to be America's Player. At least he would have something to take home with him if he loses the game. It would be hard to say no to. Dan's problem is, he is naive and he didn't think it through how to approach the situation to accomplish the tasks and it left him vulnerable. His gameplan has been so far to not be too involved with anyone and to play weak. I think if he gets to stay in the house, down the road as it gets closer to the end, we will start seeing the strong side of Dan. I think he has some surprises up his sleeve if he gets the chance to play the game.

Dan hates Michelle's "Joisy" accent a lot.
That is why he was trying to get her to speak without that "Joisy" drawl.
Hahaha! I loved it. It has been a few days since he sat with her trying again though. Wonder why? HAH!

I saw that! It was so funny. Even when she went back to her usual way of saying one of the words, there were times when he would be like noooo! But he never got mad or lost his patience with her. And then he even gave her homework. I wonder what her grade was the next day! LOL

I never get to watch the BBAD. I only get regular TV show and now I get the live feeds. I had to go and get a new sound system for the computer and as soon as they were hooked up I was ordering up the live feeds. However I did see on a few episodes Dan taching Michelle how to say certain words. And yes it was funny but it was cute at the same time. I think he is a very patient person and give him a lot of credit to help her out. I wouldn't have had the patients to do it at all. I think he makes a good teacher. Another thing that I loved about Dan was when they were up on the wall and Dan gave Michelle, Renny and April all a pep talk. Was funny but very nice of him as well.

I liked how he gave the ladies a pep talk too. He really has a gift for a lot of things. He is patient. He is cheerful. And, he is really inquisitive which is part of the reason the HGs guessed him as a twist even before he actually was the AP.
He is definitely charming me right now. Tomorrow...maybe not so much! LOL! But, for now...color me charmed! LOL!
