Ultra Sound instead of Mammograms...

My wife is an 8 years survivor of breast cancer. I first detected something while we were intimate and there followed two attempts at lumpectomy (a piece is removed in the hope that all the cancer will come out with it. Finally, a full mastectomy with reconstruction was performed horribly and she still doesn't feel like herself.
Now to my topic. I understand what a Mammogram is like fellas, imagine sticky your juevos in a vice and slowly tightening it. Mammograms are large, expensive, and unreliable. Any breast cancer survivor will tell you that, if they find something using the Mammogram, an Ultra Sound comes next. The Ultras Sound can be small enough to fit in a brief case and reach women who will never see a Mammogram.
Just making this simple switch to only Ultra Sound will save millions of women's lives around the world.

I've always wondered about this. Any time I've had a questionable mammogram, I've had the second mammogram, and then an ultra sound. I've wondered why they don't just do the ultra sound.
