how would you interpret this news?

Ok, so, I posted on Friday about my husband possibly getting fired. He got a call today from Human Resources and this is what was said.... He explained his side of the story for documentation reasons, he was told that he would be compensated for the days he is out on suspension, he was told to hang tight until tomorrow b/c someone is going in to interview the staff and have a face to face conversation with his general manager. His staff called him today becasue they were told they would be interviewed and they were concerned. So, the HR person also told him what might happen is they might release him earlier and allow him to search for another job within Sodexho, in order to transfer to another position, you have to be there a year and he has been there for 9 months, so they might release him early so he can transfer to another unit. This is all pending investigation. So, how would you interpret all this? Would you think he is "safe", my friend said if they were going to fire him they would have done it today, so...... I am a worrier and I need other peoples thoughts sometimes to see if they match up with my own!
