Hi. I have had to decide that issue too. My husband left me after 23 years of marriage. For a long time, I was so angry and I swore that I would never forgive him for doing that to me. But after 4 years of separation, he is finally doing what he is suppose to be doing with my son. I think I have finally forgiven him.

you should even if that someone did not ask for forgiveness. having hated someone is a burden within and you cannot find inner peace.

Yes, why not? If you hate a person, it would be better to forgive him rather going for a revenge or retailiatory action. You forgiving the other person would give you a kind of self-satisfying feeling that atleast, you did the 'right' thing. You are going to lose nothing, if you forgive anyone.
