Rainy season are here again, I don't know to you but i always associate good food to rainy days, maybe because you are forced to stay home, and what else can you do when you're at home? Eat eat eat. And we Filipinos love to eat right? During rainy days I long for Guinataan foods ( corn, monggo, jackfuit) I also want to eat champorado. For viands nothing beats a steaming hot Sinigang ( sour soup). How about you?

There are many food that I like and miss so much back there! But during rainy season I'd say Tinolang manok, sinigang na baboy, adobo, pakbet, smoked fish or dried fish with fried eggplant with chop diced tomato and onion. I think I have a lot of food that I enjoy eating during rainy season and I if write them all I may run out of space..... lol

If you ever come home again, visit this place in Tarlac. It's a food establishment named Isdaan and owned by the owners of Barrio Fiesta. the food there was really Filipino, but you have to take a lot of small bills for the tip. There are roving entertainers that you have to tip.

Hey, I love all those dishes you mentioned. We cook those at home, although our kare kare isn't always yummy and our menudo changes from time to time. I also like adobo. It's my all-time favorite! I cook it even when I'm out of the country. Filipino desserts such as halo halo, saba con yelo, and lengua de gato are also on top om list. I love Filipino food!

i like puto (rice cakes), but not just any kind, there's this one kind which is a specialty of one of the smaller towns here, and that's my favorite. and i like bopis, but only from this food court joint called "kamay kainan" that's about it though, i'm more into chinese food.

it's a small town called manapla. i think dinuguan is ok, but i don't like it when there's too much fat, like in restaurants. i think sometimes when you buy lechon you can have the innards made into dinuguan, that's the type i eat.

I love filipino dish too. My favorite filipino dish are kare kare, bicol express, humba, and ofcourse menudo. I think filipino food are one of the best not merely because i am a filipino but so far i have tasted chinese, korean and other foreign dishes and i can say filipino dish can compete with those foreign food. I dream that someday there will be a lot of filipino restaurant in the US so that we can also share to americans our own filipino food that i believe we can all be proud of.
