Best by far is the Anti-Virus program put out by Norton. Norton is Memory intensive program and does use a lot of resources. Now I personally Use McAfee which is just as good. infact most anti-virus programs are good you just have to keep them up to date in order to be protected.

hi there, i think that would be it. anti-virus will really work when it is updated but once you fail to update it that's where the viruses starts to get in and infect the memory. thanks for the post!!!

Sorry to hear your puter is sick. Most users are happy with AVG or Avast. I usually recommend review sites like toptenreviews.com I myself use BitDefender, a all-in-one which works well with Vista to my surprise. Dont forget your Firewall settings and a good AntiSpyware product. Take care, hope this helps.

hi i have to save kaspersky... the best defense against trojans. as you plug in a flash or usb drive..it will automatically detect and quarantine the infection. what antivirus do you use?

i think kaspersky will be the best pcik for this purpose. if you are willing to protect from virus then i recommend to use kaspersky. I also recommend avast and macfee as these are the best that will help you to protect your pc from virus.

I used both NOD 32 and AVG Free. Both of these have advantages and disadvantages. One of the disadvantages of NOD 32 is that it slows my computer once installed. One of the advantages of AVG Free is that it has a nice interface. I recommend you to try both of them and decide for yourself.

I didn't try to install them altogether in my OS. In my opinion, I think that install more than one anti-virus software will slow down the System.

I think Quick Heal would be a good choice.....as it detects almost all kinds of viruses that are in PC along with trojan!!!!! I am using quick heal and its preety good. The thing i liked about it was it detects almost all kinds of viruses and also it does not affect my PC's speed..... Its only starting 10 to 20 seconds when my PC works a bit slow and after that its just the best....!!!!!
