I have been thinking about getting a tattoo for the last 10 years, and never had. I guess I am a little afraid of it, you know the "pain" thing. I guess I am a wimp! I've always wanted to get a dolphin on my ankle, and people with tats that I've talked to says that is a bad place to start (close to the bone, etc.) So I am still thinking about it, but will probably never have it done. And I agree about possibly regretting it, what will it look like as you get older and your skin changes? And will you still like it as you get older? A lot to think about since they are time consuming, expensive, and are hard to have removed.

if its on your ankle its not going to change that much with age. and your first tattoo is not going to hurt that bad because your thinkin its going to hurt alot. so in your mind your setting yourself up for a far wrost pain than it really is.

10 years is lonng time :). Even i get a bad scare thinking about the process. Having a one in the ankle will be cool though.

if thats your fear my advise is. make sure you put some time into thinking about it first then forget about it, and one day your riding by a shop just stop and get it. you wont regret because you thought about it and it was forced. Also go small and if you really dont like it you can cover it up or remove it. covering it up will be tha cheaper thing to do tho. i got over 16 tattoos and all tho i lke some more than others i never really regreted any of them. its life and its here to live.
