Par For The Course?

i spend a decent amount of time online. either in game, or chat.. ims or boards.. and once again, i find a place i like to frequent, turning into a drama fest of cliques and power struggles. i dont pretend to have a clue whats going on with this one.. the things it is connected with are incidents that happened before i was a presence within this forum. and quite frankly i dont wanna know. ive got enough drama of my own without adding more to it from a place i go to escape and have a fun time at the end of a long day. im saddened that this place wasnt exempt from what seems to be the usual trend everywhere, but i guess i really shouldnt be surprised by it. so.. i will be downsizing my circle a bit here. friends listed that i dont really speak to very much and are merely acquaintances will be removed. dont take offense.. you havent done anything "wrong" im just limiting my time here and the discussions i get involved with will be a bit more picky and exclusive to those i genuinely care for. for those few that remain.. how do YOU deal with the rampant flurry of drama and rumor mill? do you seclude as im about to? or do you feed off it and throw yerself into the mosh pit of chaos as so many others do? and why?

i love you too stupid, of course im not deleting you. and yeah, im still on scryers, evenmade a friend tht ive been questing with off and on. i really like the laid back-ness of the server. shes nearing 20 now and im scurrying to make coin to keep her twinked as best i can without an uber char to foot the bills. ive got 2 lvl 70s now on llane, and working on my third.. hunter dinged 61 yesterday.

This is a conversation that seems to be springing up everywhere today and I am not actually sure what is going on. There again I was not really sure the last time and the time before that.
I dont tend to throw myself in the mosh pit as you say, I too have enough dramas in my own life and came here to escape and chill out a bit, now I find myself avoiding a lot of discussions for various reasons. I dont blame you for doing what you are doing, and if I am one of the ones that you remove then thats fine too I wont take offence to it at all. XxXx

It saddens me mate but it irritates me as well. I guess I deal with it by staying in the background and on the sidelines, I answer posts from my alerts and I'm generally way behind with things so things have cooled down by the time I catch up. I never quite know what is going on. I wish that things were just reported instead of others picking it up and re-igniting the boards with it. I wish the subject was kept in one place and not taken off site. Unfortunately there will always be sneaky, underhanded people who will not tell the truth or the whole truth, there will always be two or more sides to a story, there will always be trouble makers and there will be those poor who are mentally unstable and possibly at the bottom of everything. I will never know the truth and in some ways I don't want to know it.
To deal with it, I've changed tack here a few times and found new friends to play with, but there are some friends I want to stay friends with. It can be a hard call sometimes. I have a big thankyou hug for you, I think you know what for.

I stay out of it and mind my own business unless it's my own battle I'm fighting, which is very rare lol
This place is sure going down hill and it's sad to see good people get banned and or leave.

Hi Tess, I hope I will be one of the ones that doesn't get deleted in your clear up. I try to step back from all the dramas as much as possible and have been away for a few days and come back to a few people having left or been suspended etc but haven' a clue who they are or what is going on. I will continue as usual responding to what I can and posting when I have the inspiration too. Ellie :D

I'm clueless. 
I don't get involved in internet "friend" drama. Never have. Maybe it's because I'm too old for that. Maybe not, though. I never got involved in real life drama as a young 'en either. Just not worth the trouble. There are always two sides to every story. People perceive things differently. That's life.

well some people. add friends here to make a flame army.
That way they can probably ask friends for help to flame them.
Which i believe lots of people here are kind and respectful and won't flame anyone they don't know. I doubt they will even flame at all.
its like some random guy telling you, hey this guy is annoying me, call him names.
Adding random people for a flame war is just dumb.
I guess its ok if you want to delete some people on your friends you never talk to on mylot
