The U.S. Men’s Gymnastics Team think that widely publicized doubts about their abilities actually helped them to their surprising brone medal win in Beijing.
Using a patchwork crew to make up for the absence of their two strongest members, Team USA took third place after naysayers kept talking about what shaky ground they were on. Predictably, it was the Chinese team that won the gold, with 286.125 points. Japan passed the U.S. for silver on the final apparatus, totaling 278.875 points. The U.S. tallied 275.85 to slip past Germany for the bronze.

I only saw bits and peices of it as I was in and out but my boyfriend watched it and says that even though China was really doing some just phenomenal moves on what I think was the parallel bars or somersault vault, he said that the US was really holding its own making perfect clean cut landings from the one-pole bar (my made up name for it) like every time. I think when I was watching it I was just in awe how strong they were and China made it look like no effort at awe as I barely saw any shaky of their muscles, wow.

The USA RAWKS!! yeah i watched that last night. I loved how when USA was on the bars, they stuck it...literally! Then one from Japan made a mistake and the judges didn't like it too well that he was laughing about it. I love the OLYMPICS!!!
