I don't have any yet but I am seriously thinking about getting one. I am a little scared about it hurting. Hopefully if I don't chicken out I will have one soon.

I have a tattoo on my ankle. It is a snake that goes all the way around and then rears up with a coral rose in its fangs. I drew it and had a tattoo artist friend put it on. He was in the first stages of Parkinsons and was in a deep melancoly over it. He knew that his tattooing days were at an end. Mine was his last.
While we went through the tedious tattoo, (we both had too stop to rest often because I am ill too), I went to work on his psyche.
I told him about two young people who were very good at flash and needed a break. I had been drawing flash for him for years. Eventually he agreed to take them on and teach them the tattoo trade. It has been 18 years and they are still together and I still have my one and only tattoo and reminder of something very good.

ok, here's the truth !
when i turned 60, i decided i wanted a small tatoo
of the yin/yang sign.
i'm chicken, i think. does anyone know if it really hurts?
my daughter has 5 or so. she says when they "fill" in the area
that is the painful part.
i spent years trying to decide on a graphic as i didn't want
anything big. i didn't want anything i would get tired of.
