I had responded to one of a discussion that was discussing on whether it was possible to have hit payout at your 400th post. Reading through everyone's response had left me very puzzled.
I myself had experienced for myself that it is definately possible to hit that amount in that short period of time! At 200th post on my 10th day in Mylot, my income already stands at $9.50 with no referrals at all.
So, I really could not understand why everybody is jumping to the conclusion that the person who does that have lots of active referrals, either that or they are uploading lots of pictures per day, and so on and forth.
I really do not understand why. {Scratches head}. Can anybody tell me why that people automatically disregard the fact that it is possible to earn the cashout amount with the minimum number of post without the help of any referrals, as long as quality posting is done?

Good for u to be independant and can reach payout so fast on your own ^_^
SO far, i have noticed that u always make sure that u post and respond to discussions with quality posts, and not in quantity, and this gives u the advantage of reaching payout sooner than the others ^_^
As u can see too, nobody's response are as long as yours, and the max they will comment is either 4-5 sentences long ^_^ Because they feel it's a waste of time to comment on the same discussion, thus they will just respond just for the sake, b4 proceeding to respond to others to make more posts, thinking that they will earn more.. But they are wrong.. hehe
I too dun have any referrals and i'm working on my own ^_^

MY long long discussions are only for yours, because u have a long comment.. hehe ^_^ ANd if my comments are too short, it will seem like it's very rude or that i'm not interested in responding back.. hehe ^_^ THus i choose to paragraph my dicussions and talk about the points separately.. hehe
Yeah, it's always good to work on our own, so that we wun be over dependant, and lose ourselves one day when our refferals are gone ^_^ Even if we have referrals, we still have got to be active in here, in order to keep ourselves update with things and also catching up with frenz in mylot ^_^
Perfectionist?? lol ^_^ This is a term, whereby i dun get to hear from any of my frenz except for u.. hehe From your words and thinking, it seems true enough that u are a perfectionist, but actions wise, u will still allow yourself some flaws.. hehe =D But that's just based on my thinking only ^_^
Enjoyed talking to u too, my fren ^_^

Seems like my long responses are only catered to you also. Lol, like minds think alike eh? I don't think it will be rude to give a short answer if there is really nothing to talk about or when one is plain not interested in let's say a certain topic or sentence or situation. I am guilty of that on more than one count!
Anyway, putting points into paragraphs and separating them with smileys is a good idea. It makes the entire passage looks neat and organised, and the layout will be much more easier to read than a huge big chunk of text! That's good for you!
Well, it's always good not to be too dependent on others, be it on Mylot or in real life. When things happen, it's always back to the trustable old self to solve everything for ourselves. There is no one person that is really that trustable to the extent whereby you know that no matter what happen, they will be there to support you, and lend you that needed shoulder to fall back on. That's life for you.
As everybody grows up, there is added on responsibilities and what may be a promise in younger days may not turn out to be that true afterall, and when that happens, everybody will see for themselves that the only person we can truely depend on will be ourselves and our three good friends - me, myself and I! Lol.
Haha, you are about there - half right! I belong to the category of an 'avoidance perfectionist' (if there is such a term for me!) If I know that I can't do something 100% right, I would rather not do it, and avoid starting on something that I know I would never do it perfectly. That is also the reason why even though I might have the time to type like 1 or 2 liners during my busy period in the office, I choose not to as I prefer instead to type what I truely feel, rather than typing just for the sake of typing (if you get my drift). That's the avoidance part of me.
But then, when it comes to work, I have this motto that I live by and that is 'fast and accurate!' So far in my 1 year of working in an office, I had managed to uphold that motto of mine, and had not once falter in the quality of my work output in amazing time! Hehe, and that is something that I am very proud of, as I have more free time than my other colleagues as I usually take lesser time to complete what they would complete over a period of days.
Perhapes you are a perfectionist in reel life, and a slacker in real life? Who knows? That is why I am the only one who says so. But then coming to think about it, you should be honoured to receive this compliment from me! No? Hehe.. everybody is a perfectionist in their own rights. And it is only how you perceive one to be a perfectionist that enables you to fall outside or inside of the circle. Got me?

I never really did like the idea of depending on others for doing things that I can just do on my own. Lol, besides that, it's a really good way to discover for myself where my limits lies, and push myself beyond that limit if it's just my own effort. I always believe that if we get too dependent on others (like referrals leverage on Mylot), we would get lazy and then if they were to disappear one of these days, we would despair. I would rather not to have that happen to me. Good for you too! You are just like me! Solo power!! Lol
Don't you agree that if we want to do something, we would have to do them to the best of our ability, especially if it's something that you enjoy doing. Hehe, and that includes Mylotting! And when we like something, we would definately put in more effort into doing it to perfectness! (or somewhere near perfect). Lol, I am a perfectionist! So, if I have the time, I would always try to answer to those who had responded to my discussion. And this is something that I wish for others to do when I respond to their discussions. It's a nice feeling to always have somebody acknowledge your responses and have a 'real' conversation together! Don't you agree with me?
I noticed that in others too. The rumors are floating around on Mylot that to earn here, one would have to type at least 4-5 lines, and everybody is doing just that! Lol, and end up complaining about the earnings when they don't earn even though they were following the supposed 'guidelines'. But, I guess that's just not me. I will stay on to a discussion and follow it if I am interested enough. Lol, I can't remember the hours that I had stayed on Mylot just lurking around, and not answering or responding to any discussions!
You too! Your responses are of the quality kind, and it's also of the long long type! I love it!! I really do enjoy myself talking to you on Mylot! Well take care my friend! =D

I do not even know how to explain this politely. Those who do not believe it's possible to reach payout in under 300-400 posts are usually the same ones who fail to understand what a quality post is. They write four lines that are remotely related to the topic at hand and assume that's good enough because someone somewhere along the line told them so. They fail to understand that there is a lot of misinformation floating around and if they only do what others tell them to do there's a good chance they'll miss out on the true potential of the site.
I made over $20 in July. I have no referrals at all and I started the month just under 5000 posts (I believe I was around 4900). I've hardly done anything this month so I think I ended July at around 5300. Do the math and it's obvious a person can make payout with less than 400 posts and no referrals (and I rarely post photos). You and I know this, a few others know this, but there will always be though who believe it is impossible all because they haven't figured out how to do it.
Congratulations on being so close to payout already! Keep up the good work!

You had explained it all very politely and clearly. Not to worry!
That was good work! $20 for the month of July with just around 400 post and no referrals! Lol, you are proof that it really does help to just post quality posts over quantity post.
I really couldn't understand why some people just don't get it.{Scratches Head}Hehe. Thanks! I had just hit the minimum payout amount yesterday and I hope to get the same as you at the end of the month.
Actually, I learnt things the hard way too. I was experimenting around on my first three days to figure out how the reimbursement system works over here in Mylot. On the first day, I did 10 postings and well, I got $0.26 or something close to that? The postings were not oneliners but around mid-range.
On the 2nd day, I did only 3 post, but there were long postings sharing my stories, and giving advice on the same post. For that I received $1+ on that day. However, on the 3rd day, I tried short posts and posted around 80+ posts for the entire day and for that effort, I only received $0.09.
Lol, from there I actually learnt something. Quantity posts does not mean anything (JUst look at that 8 hours of work of 80postings but only $0.09). I'm glad that I learnt it by experimenting and not just by listening to any other rumors that are floating all around Mylot.
Thanks for the lovely post. I love your posting. Though it's long, it's not going round the bush, and you had actually cut straight to the chase. I hope that any other people reading your response would finally get it to their head that it is possible.
And I also hope that I would be reading more long posts than all those short postings that are floating around. Hehe.. I just love reading those lengthy post and write lengthy post. I know I am very naggy, hehe but that is just the way I am.
Well, have a nice day and Happy Mylotting!

Well - typically people don't earn any more then one or two cents a post, so if they only had 400 posts then they would have between 4-8 dollars most likely. I don't really know how the discussion payouts work, but I have about 10 discussions with roughly 5 replies each and it doesn't seem to be helping me in any way because I have like 150 posts and only $1.70.

Yes others even had more than 600 post still not hitting the minimum pay out, I understand how come. as I see others started their discussions by just asking a one liner question and also have a one liner response. Although there are only a few maybe. Me, I don't have active referrals as well, not applauding photos except one and I made it in a little more than 400 post, to reach the minimum payout. Larely however I can see how to have bigger earnings. Answering responses counts as well, quality posts contribute much. I just hope I can make it with 200 posts as well the next payout, just like you...

Lol.. That's the problem with some people who started off on the wrong note in Mylot. Many come in thinking that Mylot pays according to the number of posts that we have in our post count. This is absolutely untrue, and yes I have also seen some who have 1000+ posts under their post counts but yet is still only at $8+?
I am sure you will be able to achieve that. Keep the faith and do what you have been doing all along and you will achieve that sooner than you expected! Take care and happy mylotting!

Good evening angelia,
that's a real puzzle. Now we have to put all pieces together to see the whole picture.
I just read the last days very often that comments to responses of our own discussion don't give any earnings and our rating wouldn't get better if someone else would rate your comment with a "+".
I really don't understand from where they get to this conclusion. I only can think of one sign. You don't earn a point by commenting on your own discussion, perhaps this made them think then you won't earn, too .
As i told them in the discussion that i always comment on my responses because this is the easiest way to earn, the person said then i will give my one or two sentence to it, if possible. Most important is that they learned something, even it is not completely correct with that short answers but it's a beginning.
I reached my payout also with around 200 posts but i will get it on 15th February, just reach 9.60 on 31st of December . The other thing is most of the members here watch at as as newbies because we have so less points (my experience) in so many months, from my points you could calculate that i make just 3 - 4 posts a day on your side it doesn't look better from this statistic
I guess i need your assistance in one of my discussions to show them how much fun it is to discuss within a discussion and not let just act the response as a stand-alone item in the discussion, which means it can't be called a discussion anymore (or "i ask the question, you answer and then it's silent" like some teacher did it in the past in our school).
Ok, enough for today, i wish you a good night, enjoy your dreams!

Good evening!
You are right to say that we don't get post counts when we respond to our own discussions. However, we do get paid for responding to our own discussion too. That is really one of the easiest way to earn rather than trying to jack up our post counts with meaningless responses to meaningless discussions.
In a way, responding to one's discussion also enables our respondents to feel that their opinions are valued and thus, they would also in turn turn out to be one of our best responders in the discussions which we start.
Lol I get the hint and I will start inputting some opinions into your discussions too. Good job! You are doing great if you can get $10 within 200 posts (same as me!) whereas others are like getting $4 with 500 over posts and they start to wonder if Mylot is a scam or what.
Keep up the good work and happy mylotting!!
