I had this nightmare as a child. My family went on a drive to go to this indoor swimming pool - now that was odd but not bad. On the drive back it started storming and we stopped for directions at this store. My sister and I went in and they had weird stuff like eye balls in the gum machine and real cut off ladies fingers in the candy display. When we got back in the car the storm got worse and then I saw the lightning hit the ground. There was this ball of lightening going down the road - the other way than we were - but still.
Mind you - I was about 6 when I had this dream and I had never heard of ball lightening before - in fact, back then they didn't believe in it.
Then I woke up.
And there was this glowing thing in the middle of the bedroom floor. Turned out to be a doll box glowing in the moonlight - but it scare me! I was afraid if I stepped on the floor I would be killed by the lightening.

Exey, I've got some really weird and very scary ones. I'll give you a couple of them. One was really involved, as most are, but to sum it up, I saw my brother's bones laid out in the shape of a pig.....
And another one - I was being pursued, the sidewalks became sharply inclined and icy, it was so hard to make any progress, and suddenly he appeared behind me and a pair of scissors was in my hands, a really big pair of scissors, and I stabbed him and pulled out his heart on the ends of the scissors. Then I was waking my mother, still in my dream, at her house, saying, "mama, I just killed a man", (yeah, just like in Bohemian Rhapsody), and the guy appeared under the living room table, shouting, "rumors, rumors", and I woke up. Well, my mom, who I was living with at the time, woke me up because I was screaming. Creepy, huh?
I've had nightmares all my life, Exey, and they've been horrible. I've had rat dreams that were just awful, lots of them, but not for a long time. I once had a dream that my husband was beaten in this bar-sort-of-place that was all painted blue and looked like a barn. He woke me up that time, as I was once again screaming. Sleeping with me is really no fun at all. I holler, I scream, I cry, I laugh, I kick, I hit and you've really gotta love me to sleep with me night after night. Funny - my husband can't go to sleep when I'm out of town. Can't sleep at all without me in the house. Go figure.
