If so, what was it like?
If not, would you?
Have you ever gone on any sort of trip to meet someone you met on sites like mylot. I wanted to at one point but the whole idea just seemed weird to me after I strongly considered what I was doing. Luckily she agreed that we should be online friends and maybe fate will allow us to meet one day. What about you people?

I have been active in some online community. I have gained friends at some point. Some went on a night stand and some just plain meet ups like hi and hello.
But i would advice that you ever plan to visit or meet someone online for the first time, make the meeting place be in a public to avoid any form of harassment or abuse.

I've had other friends on sites such as myspace. I've met several of them. I was extremely nervous at first. She didn't know me, but she invited me over to her house and we hung out. After that we became good friends. I would suggest though for future reference to make it a very public place...just in case. Like a mall or some place with lots of people. There's too many psychos in the world to even risk it. Good Luck!

This is what we call Eyeball. You have met at net through chat or sites and blogs. Until you came to a decision to meet each one in order to know more better and top feel all those word you used to share with.
I have done several eyeballs when I was in college. That was the time when I really chat hard. And it is good thing to know that sometimes, the person we chatted is very different in person. Somtimes I expected that she is not that pretty and good, but in person she looks beautiful and good person. Sometimes very quiet in ym but in person a jolly and with sense of humor, or the other way around.
So I recommend why not make an eyeball. It is a great experience and new way of having friends.

I've met quite a few people that I know online from a cat site I visit. They were all cat lovers, and we had a delightful time talking about our cats. We met at a Botanical Gardens, so that if it didn't work out, we could still have a good time. There were about 7 of us who met each other that time. Now, I have regular lunches with some of these folks.
