Ho did you choose the name for your children? I have a 3 month old baby boy. We named him Agastya and his nick name would be "August". No, he was not born in August. he was born in May. Its very interesting about how we decided on this name. English August is a very famouds novel written by an Indian author named Upamanyu Chatterji. The protagonist in the novel is named Agastya and his friends call him August. My husband was very impressed with that character and has ever since reading that novel been very much interested in naming our baby Agastya if its a boy. And when he knew it was a baby boy he could only think of the name Agastya even after searching for names all over the internet. None of the other names impressed him more than Agastya. So now our kid is named Agastya. Please do share your experiences.

My daughter's name is Anezza, derived from my grandmother who is Aniceta. At first, I want it to be Aniceta but my mother against it. She said she dont like to hear me scolding my daughter using her mom's name, as if im already scolding her mom. So instead of Aniceta, I chose Anezza for it sounds like Aniceta. Choosing a our child's name is a lot of fun and very challenging too. My only hope is that my child will love the name i will give her or him if ever I will have a son in the future. Agastya is a nice name and he will be proud of it when he grows up.

I have a thirteen year old boy. My ex-husband had names like Fox, Raven or Rex in mind. My family said we should choose a normal name and he got called Ryan because that was the only boys name that we both liked. He was nicknamed Rybe Rascal when he was a toddler. I have a fourteen month old boy as well. I couldn't decide what to call him and Teo was a suggested name given to me so I asked how about Leo. That name really suited him so I settled on that name. His nickname is Leo the Lion and Lioney. People say he isn't a Leo is he referring to his star sign. No, he is a Taurus because he was born in May. I think that Agastya is a lovely name for your little baby boy. I liked reading how you chose this name and found it interesting.
