Do you have some ceremony for naming your kids? I am from India and here we have different naming ceremonies depending upon your religion and region in India from where you are. I am from western India and the naming ceremony here cannot be completer without the paternal aunt of the kid. She is the one who would whisper the name in the baby's ears as a custom of naming ceremony. the baby is passed from over the cradle to the other side by baby's mother and some other woman ( mostly the paternal aunt) would then pass the baby from below the cradle. This is also a custom in the naming ceremony. Please share the customs followed in your region for naming the baby.
