can there be real peace among us?

conflicts between christians and muslims have been going on since time memorial. recently,in the country i'm in, offensives had been done to stop the muslim rebels from taking over certain areas. in your opinion, what possibility can breach the conflicts between muslims and christians in general?

In many places Muslims and Christians are living together in Peace. In Philippines as well many Christians and Muslims are living in peace as some Christians said here in Mylot. but some few cases are there. Christians in Northern Philippines have some rumors about Muslims, and it would be nice if you can get it from Christians they live together with Muslims in Southern Philippines.
In India we have 2.3% Christians, and 13.4% Muslims. And in the state/province I live have 24.7% Muslims and 19% Christians. Anywhere in India don't have any problems between Muslims and Christians. There had some problems between Hindus and Muslims in North west areas and it's calm now.
If we understand each other and if we learn to respect others and their religion as common people we can live in peace always. Muslims are supposed to loved their home country.
