I just heard this expression today: "Leave yesterdays garbage behind". I know they are not talking literally about garbage, but about things that you may have done or said. In other words don't dwell on the past, what's done is done. I think it is a good expression and I know many people that I would like to tell it to. So many times people can't seem to let go of something that has happened in the past and just keep dwelling on it. You can't change it, so why keep bringing it up? Do you know people that can't seem to let things go? And how about yourself, do you leave yesterdays garbage behind? Something to think about!

I think the deeper it hurts the harder it is to leave behind. Even if it can't be changed sometimes , seeing reminders of it make it harder to move on!

Oh I agree that it is hard to leave behind something that you have been hurt by, but I think that one has to resign themselves to the fact that it can't be changed and it is time to move on. Thanks for the comment!

I agree Busyb4. but i also have a problem with laying in bed at night going over my day and things that I said or did or how i acted will pop in mind and I wonder if I hurt someone's feelings or something. I have a hard time dealing with guilt even petty guilt. either that or I like kicking myself in the a** alot...LOL who knows. :)
