Have you gone through the college entrance examination? How do you feel it?

In China, National College Entrance Examination is one of the most important examinations of every Chinese student. i have entered it last year and the result was not as good as i wanted.
And i want to know others' opinions about the examination? Can you tell me some examinations in your country which has a great impact on you?

Ahh, I have some cousins in China who've also stressed to me the importance of the College Entrance Exams there. I'm currently living in the U.S., and I don't think there's any one exam that's extremely important. The SATs, SAT2s and AP tests might (all of them together) be considered equivalents of the College Entrance Exam in China, but most colleges here also take into account more things than just test scores (like grades and extra-curriculars). So even then, they're not nearly as important or stressful as the ones in China.
Anyways, I do wish you good luck if you want to try again next year (I've heard, however, that most people don't try again due to lack of motivation, but if you have the time, don't hesitate to do so)!

Compared to Chinese college entrance examination, i think American testing methods are more reasonable. Scores can not reflect every character of one person. High scores can only say: you are working hard.
And thanks for your suggestion, i attend the exams last year, not this year. So i am in college now and it is impossible for me to try again.

i participated in that examination 3 years ago. well, i still rememeber that feeling.painful, not the examination itself, the pressure from all places and people around u can almost kill urself.
the fear of failure in the future, etc.
i think one reason is cause the large population in china makes the society competative. but as more and more universities and colleges come up, i hope this situation can turn into a better one.

i took my college entrance exam years ago. just glad that i was able to have a score high enough to enter the university of my choice and the course of my choice. right now i am studying to earn my second degree. i just hope that i will get to pass the board exam next year. yikes! ^_^
