Hi my sister really wants to be an actor when she grows up. She 13 and is always working hard to make herself better.She wants to be known and wants to put her name out there for people to recognize.What can she do to put her name out there in the industry and start making it alittle more serious for her?She really loves acting.Shes looking for some tips.If anyone has experience in acting and how they got there name out,please feel free to share how it all happened.

She needs to have an agent. Make sure it is one who does not charge up-front and does not require you to use THEIR photographer and pay extreme amounts for photos. You should be able to choose your own professional photographer.
Has she ever tried pageants? My little one has and there are talent scouts at pageants. My little one got an agent from her pageant performance -- we went to see the agent and decided against it because we lived so far away that it would not be feasible to drive up there at the drop of a hat for look-see's.
Exposure helps. Wherever you can get it. Experience helps. Being in school and community plays will give her experience and exposure.
