i am unable to administer medicine to my dog

the other day the vet left a few doses of medicien to be given to my dog every 12 hours, though i tried making him have the medicine i was unable to do it, how can i persuade my dog to takle his medicine

Wrap it up in some ham and they will eat it. Also you can put it in there food bowl and also give them it in peanut butter. It will be sweet and they wont notice the pill.

I usually hide my dog's meds in a piece of sausage or something he likes and he'll eat it without noticing, but I know some dogs are harder than that. If it doesn't work to crush the meds and hide it in his food, then I'd just open dog's mouth, put the meds as far in his mouth as possible, close mouth and rub his throat gently a bit so he has to swallow.

i must admit that it's really difficult to make dog have the medicine especially for the troche. most medicine can be crushed down and then mixed with food. additionally, for the troche, we can also put it on the back of the dog's tongue and then close its mouth for seconds. then the dog will swallow it.
