Have you been spammed today?

I have two email accounts and they are both pretty good at sorting the spam out. I used to get that much spam it was unreal, but it was because I was going on loads of sites and putting my email address in them. I soon stopped when I realised that I was leaving a trail of myself everywhere and now I still get a lot, but nowhere near as much! I still get a lot that sneaks through the defences though.

Overnight Bella I received nearly 80 spam messages. I cleared the and received another 16 before I logged off again this morning! Drives me mad, especially as Yahoo places e mails that I want to read from friends in there too sometimes. Grrr.

I seem to get more spam in my yahoo email than anything else. Uh - how many? I keep losing count. I do have a gmail addie, & it does have a spam folder. Yahoo has one as well, but I ended up having to turn it off, because real messages were not getting through. Being that I have yahoo set to load 200 messages per page, it was several pages. The only message that was NOT spam was a "myLot has just sent you ..." message,

I use yahoo as my main address and gmail as a secondary. Gmail is spammed but i managed to clean yahoo of 95% of spam... i rarely get spam on my yahoo account.

I use gmail and it's pretty well against spams. I know what you mean bellaofchaos when you say sometimes it's too effective. i admit that too but as I check mails regularly and usually I get mails from very trusted sources and add them in the contact list, so I don't get bothered over whether important mails go to the spam folder by mistake.
