We all use what ever emails are easiest for us and what we have grown use to, but no matter what email we use spam sometimes does get through to annoy the you know what out of us. So my questions to you are what email servers do you use and how effective is it against spam?
I use gmail mostly now adays and it seems to be very effective with spam sometimes to effective... If you know what I mean. LOL!!!

I have two email accounts and they are both pretty good at sorting the spam out. I used to get that much spam it was unreal, but it was because I was going on loads of sites and putting my email address in them. I soon stopped when I realised that I was leaving a trail of myself everywhere and now I still get a lot, but nowhere near as much! I still get a lot that sneaks through the defences though.

I seem to get more spam in my yahoo email than anything else. Uh - how many? I keep losing count. I do have a gmail addie, & it does have a spam folder. Yahoo has one as well, but I ended up having to turn it off, because real messages were not getting through. Being that I have yahoo set to load 200 messages per page, it was several pages. The only message that was NOT spam was a "myLot has just sent you ..." message,

KrazyKlingon,
I understand what you mean I seem to get spam forever in a day on my aol email account. It seems like every spammer on the net knows that my gmail is fort knox and that my aol is dee dee deee. (slow). But gmail has taken emails that I wanted and thrown them away but then that is once in a blue moon.

I use gmail and it's pretty well against spams. I know what you mean bellaofchaos when you say sometimes it's too effective. i admit that too but as I check mails regularly and usually I get mails from very trusted sources and add them in the contact list, so I don't get bothered over whether important mails go to the spam folder by mistake.

Everyonce in a while even the ones I have on the list go into the junk folder for gmail but at least gmail makes it easy to go through the mail and decide it.
