Turn off screensaver when i wathing movie.

Hi, I just wondering how to turn of the screensaver when i wathing movie, it pop up right in the movie.
I have VLC player and i think i had so the screensaver dident pop up before but when i unistalled it it went away. So does anyone know how to turn off?
dont write that i gonna turn the screen saver on 99999 minutes becuse i want the screen saver to work, just dont when i wathing movie.
Right i also have windows xp

i dont think that screensavers will disturb u when watching movies bcoz windows automatically detects when a movie is played and will turn screensavers off.
if u r using an unrecognized software windows may not detect it,and hence the problem.
in such cases increase screensaver time in properties

generally, the screensaver should not run in VLC when you are watching a movie. I think you re-install the VLC. It might solve your problem simply.
