Have you ever thought of how do ants feel?

Hi olny, A very unique topic! I've often wondered about ants myself so we may be unique in that sense LOL. I think that we are too big for them to comprehend, and that makes me wonder if there are things around us that are too big for us understand. I wonder too how much we really know about little creatures like the ant, maybe there is more to their life than we could ever imagine. It all makes me realize how great the mystery is from living things too small for us to see to the vastness of the universe itself. Who knows maybe the ant is more like us than we think. Can you imagine the father coming home and complaining that dinner isn't ready, or with his feet up reading the morning paper? LOL. I once wrote and published a poem that I called The Anthill. I stepped upon an anthill once An accident my friend For to harm another creature is not something I intend I marvelled as those little ones Courageously came forth To stop this home intrusion And protect their queen and court Did they wonder what had hit them As their fury did unfurl Had it been some act of nature Did a comet hit their world I ran away before them A safe place for to find For those tiny scouts were vigilant Revenge was on their mind Yet as I thought about them Some forty feet away I wondered of the headlines In the ant express that day
