Why we keep making the same mistakes over and over again?

Why we are prone to do the wrong things in life that we know would be harmful to us and our immediate surroundings? Life is way short to repeat your wrong-doings and errors. Learn and teach yourself to not repeat such mishaps.
Don't you think living the same day twice makes life a little meaningless and dull? Find something new to do everyday, something productive and inspirational. Try honesty for a change. Modesty won't hurt too. Cherish your partner, respect him or her and expect the same from them in return. Don't hurt anyone, that goes emotionally too. Respect the elderly because one day you would be old too, the story of our lives.
Join a charitable group. Help the needy and never become arrogant, because there is always someone better than you who could show you your ways and flaws.
Finally, don't hold on to a grief for long, move on, make that sorrow a past, live for the present, work for the future. Live today as this is your last day and lastly, never stop dreaming for the upcoming events, because a dream is nothing if it is not seen to be executed or at least tried to accomplish. Thank you for hearing my thoughts.

Interesting topic.
Perhaps a serious self-improvement assessment would help every unique individual into preventing the same mistakes from happening.
There is a saying: "we know least about what we are most assured."
My personal interpretation is that unless we take the initiative for excellence, our circumstance (good or otherwise) will work against us.
Consider a rich kid. He may feel so comfortable and take money matter for granted :) Perhaps he has a supplementary credit card of his Dad's. The typical result, rich kid will have no idea about financial independence.
Cheers :)

Very true indeed. Life is a mix of positives and negatives and we who are living it and experiencing it first hand must learn to balance between both. Obviously, there would be times where such an equilibrium won't be maintained but that is the single attribute which makes us humans, because we are, not matter how perfect we try to be, are prone to make errors. Hence, if we repeat the same erroneous ways of our lives, that becomes a problematic issue to be addressed. Thank you for leaving such a thought-provoking feedback. Good day friend!
