Have you ever used one of those "grow your own grass" kits for your cat?

I bought a couple of Kittycat Grass kits for my Bigguy because they say they are good for indoor cats. I've only done one and am surprised at the amount of grass that has grown and how high it is! Now I'm trying to figure out how I'm supposed to give it to him. It comes in a very small, round container and of course the dirt is still in it so if I just put it next to his food and water I would think it will end up getting knocked over and there will be dirt everywhere. I don't think he will eat it if I take the grass out and put it in a dish.
Does anyone know how I'm supposed to give it to him? Of course the box doesn't say anything so that's no help! What do you suggest?

you are supposed ot leave it in the container and give it to him like that. he will eat it as regular grass so make sure the dirt bit is well ankered into a pot or something. more dirt might do the trick. so that it looks as one of your room plants, but happens to be gras for kitty.
I tried it... it was horrible. My cat ate it away before it was fully grown so I had dirt all over the place. once the grass was fully grown he didnt look at it anymore and prefered my salad.

This stuff is fully grown and very tall! I'm going to give it a try today to see what happens. Thanks for the advice.
