Internet useful?

I'll just tell you how I use it...to reach out to a world I have limited access to. The internet allows me to "meet" people from all over the world and without it this would never happen. Without the internet I probably wouldn't know a soul in Indonesia but with it I know close to 100.

The internet has revolutionized our lives. It has totally redefined the way we communicate and learn. Access to the internet in most cases is not optional. Many people depend on the internet for their livelihood. Life without it would be so different. Its a medium to learn and express your thoughts. I use it to keep in touch with friends and loved ones. Imagine having to make a call half across the globe when you can do it for free over the internet. Business heavily depend on it. Just think of any business. Everything uses the internet. Its an excellent learning tool as well. There are also the downsides but its left to the users to cut them out and gain from it.
