Hi mylotters
Does music helps you to concentrate on sumthing or it just distracts you ...
I can never concentrate on anything while listening to loud, rock music...somehow i feel that my head is banging on to something ...
While studying , subjects like maths,Accounts, Taxation ...I do require a soft music at the background..it really helps me ...
While taking decisions , it depends on the situation , the emergency all the factors are needed to be taken into consideration ...
what about you ???
Happy Mylotting

I'd say it depends what I'm doing, rather than what I'm listening to.
If I'm doing something that doesn't need a huge amount of concenration then I prefer to have music on. If I'm doing something very complex I tend to turn the music off and start talking to myself!

"If I'm doing something very complex I tend to turn the music off and start talking to myself!"I do this but aside from talking to myself I also talk to my dog who is always on the floor watching me work. And he seems to be so amuse (or maybe thinking what a jerk am i talking to him) hearing my antics. lols!

I like listening to music while I work. It tends to not distract me. Usually it actually helps because the silence drives me nuts!

Music def. helps me concentrate. I listen to it while I'm cleaning the house, cooking dinner, doing the laundry and driving in the car. My favorite is rock. Tool, Type-O, Korn, Seether, Killswitch Engage. They keep me pumped and ready for more. I like to mix it up with some R&B occasionally as well. I'm pretty versatile when it comes to music. I love it all.

Music is always playing in the backround when I do other things.
For me, it helps me concentrate. It blocks out other noises that may distract me, and gets me working to a rhythem. It also makes the time pass faster, so it makes me feel like I haven't sat in the same place for three hours.

I find listening to my favorite music and studying or doing something that really need my attention doesn't mix.I would be too busy singing along with the music. I usually work with the t.v. on though. It is great.
