Where are all the horror movies?

Recently i've noticed that there aren't any good scary/horror movies out. I am a thriller freak. I love horror movies, but all the ones that are out aren't even scary. I like having that heart racing, blood bumping thrill. Does anyone have any recommendations a truly good horror movie? Please share.

Pathology was a good movie. Not really horror. But it was scary/thriller. It was pretty good. Different but good.

I loved Shutter... other than that no good ones, oh and 1 missed call.

I just watched The Reaping the other night and I thought that was good and quite scary. It's on HBO already, that's where I saw it. I've heard 1408 is pretty good but I haven't seen it yet. Annie

The hills have eyes, is one of my scariest movie ever. I have a hard time breathing during the unfolding of the scences. Very horrific and full of terror.

I've seen the first hills have eyes, but i haven't gotten to see the second. Was the second one as good as the first one?
