What happens If I don't want McCain or Obama to be our next president?

I am just sitting in my living room watching T.V. and alls I keep seeing are commercials for Obama and against Obama and For McCain and against McCain, and I just came to realize I really don't want either of them to be our next president. What happens then? I like to take part in the voting process and I really want to vote but I have no one I really want to be our next president. Sure McCain is probably a Kniving old coop and Obama does seem to have a "fake" smile like he's hiding something. So what happens of course alot of people will still vote but there just voting for whoever they dislike the least. Another thing is and this is not meant to be a racial remark at all but what if McCain wins? Are we sure america won't just go and say "oh that's because obama is african american, of course the white guy is going to win?" when really its not true because he won on the votes and if obama wins its okay. So please tell me what your thoughts on this presidential election are and what you think is going to happen in November.

I agree. I must admit at first I wanted bush because I figured like father like son but I was wrong and not saying he is a war monger or anything but he definitly does send alot of troops over there to change there government when Its not really our territory. But anyways I think obama will win too and McCain is old so even if he wins how do we know he's not just going to send alot of people to war and then die leaving obama to be in office and he's more of a peacemaker or at least he was last week and this week he's something different what if obama wins and decides we wants to declare war one day and then changes his mind the next?

well from what the polls are saying obama will win in a land slide. but there is 160 that are uncertain as to who they will vote for and it will come down to the end. i had a dream a few nights ago that Obama was going to win lol. i am not saying that is special or anything- its kinda creepy if you ask me. but i know that what i am planning on doing is putting my husbands name on the ballot. I dont think Obama is who he says he is. and well McCain is just a too trigger happy if you ask me. I know that the world will be changed forever no matter who steps into office. but i think that McCain will be able to handle the pressure of sending troops to die for a cause unlike Obama who wants to have a drum circle going and maybe a joint or two to ease the stress lol. who knows. maybe Barr will be on the ballot and he will win. Its all still up in the air. but if Obama wins- then i can say i saw it coming. lol. ;)

Yeah. Thats what I was thinking its going to probably come down to like a few states to decided on our next president and alot of people are going for the "change" and that's fine but I'm just worried like what if obama wins and he keeps changing his mind on different topics and what if he goes into office and then one day during his term he decides heey, I think i change my mind I wanna be a fireman instead or whatever. lol. We should really choose a canidate that can firmly answer a simple-ish question and with Mccain being a little 2 faced. He tells the woman running for something i cant remember that she's a little old to run and yet he will be like 70.

Well...I guess you go with the lesser of two...just like the majority of people I know. I would love to see the voting public just say, we would like a redo. Neither of these are sufficient. Start over. Oh well...maybe in another 4 years.

Your not the only one with this problem.....Right now I was hoping there was a place to vote for none of the above.......One of them is going to win the vote of the people and it may not be the best person for the job....I'm not for McCain or Obama....And as for as people saying things like that if Obama doesn't get in is sure nonsense.... Just because your nominated to run doesn't mean your going to get everyones vote...A lot of people don't like McCain or Obama and I have a feel that a lot of people are going to stay home on election day.......And this election will have the lowest turn out in our history......

Well then, my advice to you is to research the other 75 parties we have and find a candidate you do like. The constitution party, the libertarians, the national socialist party, the reform party, the green party, the jefferson party, the list is pretty long. If no one after all of that catches your attention, write a name in. The myth that we are a 2 party system would be busted if people would just take a few minutes and look around and see who else is out there. It's only a "2 party system" because we made it so. It's the voters' fault. Not the government, not the media, it's us, the voters. Incidentaly, when researching these parties and finding a candidate, use criteria a little deeper than "Sure McCain is probably a Kniving old coop and Obama does seem to have a "fake" smile like he's hiding something" Because if that is all you are looking at, than it is possible that one of these 2 may actualy have policies you agree with. Have you completely researched either one of them? Do you know what particular policies they will have? What they believe? And I'm not justtalking about what the media tells you or the sound bites you hear on the news, have you looked at either candidates website?Read through all their information?

I feel the same way I don't want either one to win in most books I read for the presidential campaign Obama was still unsure of many of his polices and McCain has nothing that interest me.

Same everytime I read anything about this election on one page it says Obama changed his mind again about like using oil from foreign grounds or something like that and on the next page its about McCain either saying something rude or talking about war war war. and then theres all the jibber jabber about cutting taxes and making higher taxes and blah blah blah. Like seriously If (and I do) want to be involved in this years voting process i'm thinking of playing eeny meeny minny mo on the ballot because its to complicated and theres no real stand out canidate.

Well to be honest, I do prefer Hillary. But unfortunatly she did not win. I am not endeared to Obama, but the thought of McBush just makes me ill. So I will take the lesser bad of the two bad choices. And it really does hinge on who their advisors are and the vice president.

well lets see, we can always hope that their vice presidents are good. the way my brother was seeing it was that if mccain wins, he'll probably die while in office from old age or something like disease. if obama wins, my brother thinks he'll probably be shot because of people who are completely against him. so i figure that these two are valid situations. they can happen, right? so just hope that if either one of them gets picked, that they have good vice presidents.
