Why would someone do that?

I have had that happen to me but I have never asked and question and then not cared for the answer. I wouldnt ask a question unless I really wanted to know. It hurts my feelings tremendously when someone does that to me. It's those people that I try to stay away from. I don't like to associate with people who are rude and inconsiderate. I feel like if I don't put myself in a situation to get hurt then it's easier to be happy. This is just my opinion. I often wonder why people ask questions and really not care. Are they just trying to be nice and make conversation? Or do they try to act like they really care? I don't understand it myself.
