I don't believe that late term abortions should be legal but, as far as early term abortions, yes, I believe that a woman has the right to decide whether to carry a fetus to term or not. Along those same lines I believe that a woman has the right to safe medical procedures and prohibiting abortion will lead to the return of the back street abortionists who maimed and killed women because they were usually unlicensed and the conditions were not sterile. No one should be forced to risk their life for a medical procedure.

A medical procedure? A medical procedure helps sustain life not end it. And I do believe if you speak in medical terms that abortion goes against the hypocratic oath. And I am not shunning those who have done it, it's just a little more complicated than an out-patient procedure.

I think the abortion should be made legal. There is was a case recently in india where a couple moved highcourt to terminally abort the fetus which has medical problems. But In India it is illegal to abort the baby after 24 weeks. The couple's pleas was turn down but imagine the plight of so many couples who when come to know that their child is going to face lot of problems after birth .I think the right should be with the parents but purely on the medical merits.

Children are born everyday that have defects and health issues, should we abort all of them? Where do we draw the line? How does that decision get made?

People want to vanquish the thought of there being a God and then replace Him with themselves and other gods that they like better. If I gave you a Ferrari and you sold it without consulting me first I might be upset with you for a while. More precious than car is life, think about it.

I know that I really disagree an abortions being done and certainly would not have one myself. I believe that all the babies that are aborted are the lost people of the world. Each and every one of us has special things about us like a talent. Think of people that have been born and what they have done for the world like Shakespeare and Mother Theresa. Abortion is legal in my home country, currently up to 24 weeks pregnancy and there having been government discussions about reducing this limit. I think that a lady can find out she is pregnant at 4 weeks pregnancy and if pregnancy tests were free then a lady would pick up the fact that she was pregnant early. I think abortion is terrible but in the case a lady that has got pregnant through rape it should be an option up to 9 weeks pregnancy. Adoption policies should change and all abortion clinics should close down except one in London for ladies that have been raped. Every unwanted baby could then be adopted to a loving family. That would be my ideal but I realize everyone has a different view on abortion. Sadly that fact that abortion is illegal in some countries it still happens in quite dirty conditions. There is no easy answer to your question, but I think abortion should be illegal then many people would be saved.

Yes, that would be nice to see that happen, but unfortunately the problem we run into is that the children are not being adopted by parents that actually care and want to have children. In fact, there are record numbers of children in America needing to be adopted yet those those that have to provide for them are choosing to adopt foreign children. Every one wants what they want and usually rejects social responsibility.

I do not believe that abortions should have anything to do with legality. If a woman decides to end the life of the child growing inside of them and they can face that for the rest of their life that is their cross to bear (and I did not mean that in a religious context). Personally I view any form (late term or early term) abortion as murder if you are going to bring legality into this topic. Becuase I believe the fetus is a baby from moment of conception....after all it will grow into nothing else but a human form during the pregnancy.
I am not pro-choice and I am not pro-life. And again if someone else chooses this that is their issue to deal with.

What every happen to women's rights? The way i see it is that the goverment wants to control all woman again like it did in history. I don't believe that the government should illegalize abortion just for the fact every woman had a different reason for having one. Yes i believe that woman and men need to take the responsibility to use protection but that doesn't not always works. But If you are careless and don't use protection they need to take responsibility for that baby.

Taking responsibility would mean to have the baby, allow the situation to force their adulthood and maturity, and not killing the child. The child is the innocent victum here not the woman.

I think it is up to the woman. It depends on the situation. When woman use it as a form of birth control I feel that is wrong. It is legal where I live.

You bring up a good point there. Abortion as a form of birth control is cruel if you ask me. You take a life because you choose to be irresponsible.
