I like onions. Whenever I saute food, onion is a must. But the odor really bothers me. Do you know any means of eliminating it's odor?

I love onions as well. My grandma always told me to use vinegar just like you would use soap. But then to get that smell out is to use some soap. Another thing is lemon. It cuts the smell of the so tasty onions out of your hands.

My mother always told me to rub mustard (the dry stuff) on my hands, wet it, and scrub them with the paste. I tried it recently after years of not listening, and it actually works! Citrusy soaps also seem to do a good job or a light vinegar soak.

rinse your hands in lemon juice. it is really good about taking odors off your hands. i use it when i cook shrip & varios things that leave an odor. u can just use the bottled juice if u don't have fresh lemons.

chopping parsley on your cutting board will take the smell out of it.actuelly i have chopped onions, had the smell on my hands then i had to put clothes in the dryer and when i touched the dryer sheet that helped with the smell on my hands.i just kind of stumbled on this but maybe it will help you.
