do you want to be an employee all your life? or do you belive that putting up your own business is the only way to success? I had attended some seminars before on business management and they really emphasized having your own business is the only and the best way to get off the poverty lane. what's your say about this?

NO!
I have a wife now that I must help support. I most certainly will not be where I need to be in five years should I be working for someone else, building into their dream or Vision for the rest of my life, with them not paying me even a ten thousandth of what they probably make.
Having a job, and a boss is a great place to start, or visit. But don't ever become complacent, or too comfortable. Your boss may lay you off, upsize, downsize, rightsize, or leftsize you without much notice. Your boss may up and move to Mexico. What will you do then?

you're right angusthethird, your boss can manipulate your future if you let him be. It is just the first base, I mean being an employee. If one knows how to save and make his money grow, he can venture in a business then he might be successful someday. good luck to us!thanks for the response.

It all depends on your financial position. If you properly plan, it is possible for you to become independent. If you have an extra income, you can save your salary and invest them in various instruments like stock markets and real estate and later take early retirement so that you can pursue your hobby.
You can remain independen and there is no need to remain an employee throughout your life. Employment gives you security of life but has disadvantages. For example, you are controlled by your boss.
If you are enterprising, want to start a new business you can do that. But before that improve your financial position so that you dont' have to look for your steady income. If you do not plan your future you will permanently remain slave to your paymaster!

I think I'm giving myself another two years to be an employee. This early I'm preparing for it. I'm planning to have my own small business so that if I quit my job, then I have something to do and something to earn. I want to take care of the home which I could hardly do when I have a job. Good morning.

I'm planning to put up my own school someday but that would take a huge amount of money.guess I have to work 4 years more.thanks for the response!

Well since my prospects of marrying Paul McCartney seem to be really, really slim, I'd say that running my own business would be a good bet. You can do it as an employee if you take advantage of 401 K's and such, but most likely that is going to take a very, very long time before you get it to where you can live off of it (not to mention that the government won't let you take it out without penalty before a certain age)...

marrying Paul McCartney eh? lol, that's funny. I'm sorry but I don't have 401 K's in my vocabulary, what's that?
And I agree with you, it's a long long way to go before a businessman can achieve success with his business, it takes a lot of risks.
thanks for the response.

Obviously yes having your own business makes you more money because you dictate the amount of work therefore the amount of money
