My daughter decided to run in the grass with her favorite pink pants on. Of course she fell and now has a huge grass stain right where the knee is. I have tried everything I know but the stain doesn't come out. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Oh,no, I know not to do that. I had pre-treated it with three different stain removers, but after each wash, it was still there. I even soaked it in water over night and rubbed extra detergent in, still no dice. I'm at my wits end. Short of bleaching I just don't know. The pants are pink, I really don't want to go there. But I may have to completely bleach them white as a last resort and re-dye them. Not something I want to go through.

Have you washed them in hot water? Even if they're a cold water thing, it might not hurt to use hot water. I'd do the same procedure again, pretreat, prewash - use a color safe detergent with bleach or a separate color safe whitener like Biz or Vivid - do it in hot water.

I ended up washing them in hot water although it tends to shrink garments not intended for hot water. I had nothing to lose at that point;) I put bleach in, too, and a generous application of the Tide stain remover that comes in that pen size thing (it didn't do anything before I put it in the wash, so I don't know). The stain is almost gone now (at least faint enough for her to wear them without people thinking that I don't do laundry, lol).
Thanks for the advice;)

Thanks. That was one of my many attempts to get it out, but it didn't work. Those grass stains are stubborn;)
