Everytime I look at my son i get worried on his weight and his health, at his age he's already overweight and i wanted to lose his weight, but how? Is it possible to diet himat that early age?

I wouldn't try to have him diet especially at a year. Alot of babies go through a stage where they look heavy but your doctor will tell you if there is a problem. I would just change the food you are giving him. Does he eat alot of cookies and snacks. Limit sweets and substitute with fruits and veggies. The older he gets he will also get more active. Don't worry about it now - or ask your doctor and see what they have to say.

A young child should not be on a diet. Talk to your doctor and look closely at what he eats. Do you give him any junk food and soft drinks? Does he still nurse? What do you feed him? It should be a balanced diet. Read up on infant nutrition. Good luck.

I would say the most important thing you can do is talk to your child's doctor, because your child's doctor can give the best advice. But I would say to make sure you're not giving him unhealthy snacks and stuff like that...Good luck dear!

I think that not only should you take him to the doctor and get an expert opinion whether hes over weight or not, but you should also try to feed him healthier foods. For example if he snacks on chips or candy, you should feed him fruits, and vegies the whole peanut butter on celery thing. Also make sure he stays active take him to the park. This is the perfect age to start a healthy lifestyle.:]

I would talk to his pediatrician about that if you really feel he is too heavy. Putting a child that young on a diet doesn't sound good, cause you don't want to cut down on the nutrition he should be getting. Talk to his pediatrician.
