does your parents read messages on your mobile phone?

my dad knows a little on how to use cellphone. and he only knows nokia other than any brands..
my phone's brand is sony erickson..
whenever my phone beeps and if I am doing something, he'll grab that and try to unlock it. too bad for him.. he doesn't know how to use my phone.
my cellphone can give a preview about the message I've received and on who send the message even if it is unlock. so if my dad grab my phone, he can read the message and he will just tell me "oh! your baby send a message for you telling you this and that!".. Aaarrgghh! and tease me about the message that he read...
he always do that, and sometimes when my boyfriend's calling me, he'll be the one who'll answer that, the funny thing is that, we'll have a race on who's gonna get my cellphone first to answer.
how about you? does your parents do that thing? and do you let them check/look/peek on your mobile phones messages?

hi,zer0charly~In your word,i so envy u~~~i think ur so happy.My dad is atypical Chinese father.Hes serious most time.Frankly speaking,i have even thinked that hes not my full father.ya...i know,he love me.but i had rather hes just like ur father..

sorry to read that.. I think you two have to talk on what is happening with your father-son relationship. you should communicate each other. I think he's busy with lots of work.

I feel as long as I am paying for the bill and you are under age then you have not right to privacy. Now if you pay your bill and you are over the age of 18 then he should not be looking. Now I say that one way of keeping him from answering your phone is keep it in your pocket, bra if you have no pocket or bedroom or somewhere he cannot get to it.
I am an adult and our children are grown and do not live with us so they have not worries.

If my parents are ever gonna do that, i will surely turn my back against them.. Because that's invading of my privacy.. SOmetimes messages between bf/gf can get steamy and if our parents happen to see, how will they react?? haha.. Their 1st reaction is to scold us for sure.. lol =D
ANd i say invading of my privacy is because i have no privacy from them at all.. Whatever bills is under my name, my bank account, my letters, they will open it all and see them b4 passing it to me, what's worse is that i dun have the letter box keys and i cant open the mail box.. Thus, if my parents are gonna take my phone and read my messages, i will not tolerate anymore..

LOL. I remember way back then when I am staying with my mom, someone send me a love letter. my mom opened that without asking my permission.. I am at school when the letter arrived. so when I got home, she told me that "you do have a love letter from ---, sorry if I opened it, I thought that letter is important. I should have know for me to call you at school and inform you about this. sorry.".. gggrrr!.. but I laugh after. good thing, I don't know who send that letter to me, and the content is good. so no need to bother after all.

LOL =D I wonder what will happen if the letter is not a good one, whereby it exposes everything about u which your mom doesn't know.. lol =D MAybe 1 day i should write a letter to myself and let my parents open it, let them read about how i complained about them to my frenz.. lol

hahaha yeah my mom & my aunt are reading my text messages on my phone lol sometimes they are the first one who will read it, coz they thought it's an OB (official business) text. i never bring my phone wherever i go, i just left it at home, that's why when i arrive home they will say that someone texted me lol

My parents don't because I am old now. They respect my privacy as well... But when i was younger, my mom do that too. but not to the point that she will be treading my message. She will only look for the sender and do not open the message. She loves to tease me esp when I have my boyfriend during that time.
But now, she doesn't do that anymore. Sometimes how I wish she will do that again. I miss those times. I think she doesn't know how to operate my cellphone now.

I do read my messages from my kids' cellphones because they allow me to. I used to sneak-peek it before but later when they knew that I have been peeking at their messages, well they just display their phones outright to our plain view. Please do not misinterpret me for doing this but it's just a parents' security measure--some kind of filter or "virus" scanning method.

I think many of us wouldn't like our parents to read our messages.I think It is the normal feeling.Because every one want to keep some secret personally.Even to our parents.lol
For me, i always keep my cellphone along with me.sometimes, even though i put the cellphone onto my desk,my parents never touch it.Because we have the words between us anticipately.WE should honor each other to keep some secrecy.I think it is good.

Whenever I'm in the same room as my Mum and I get a text she'll always ask me who its from and I have no issues telling her, but then she'll ask what did it say, and I don't think its fair for her to know this, as it is my business and my business only, but when I refuse to tell her things, she automatically assumes that its dirty, or that im up to something dodgy, or arguing with someone, when in actual fact im normally not at all, i just dont like my parents to know the conversations between me and my friends.

My Dad is passed and my MOm don't even know how to check her missed calls so no they don't but every chance I get I read the ones on my son's phone lol

here in our house, cellphones are private thing. we don't read or open a cellphone unless the owner says so.
my parents doesn't care what i do or whom im exchanging messages with.
they always ask permission if they want to browse my cellphone.
most of the time my sister open my inbox. and she's the one who tease me and made fun of me!

your dad is funny..my mom doesn't do that..she let us have our privacy but sometimes when she is in a mood for playing around she will somehow snoop but never in my phone but to my eldest brother's phone..hehehe especially when my brother and his girl is fighting in the phone..my mom will definitely snoop with them..

LoL. That's cute. I think he is just eager to know who's calling or texting because he loves you so much that he wants to know the people you deal with. My mom and dad used to screw around with my phone back in high school, it's because I leave my phone anywhere at home. Hehe. Too bad they won't be seeing any good stuff there, because I usually hide them and they can't go as far as that. Hehe. Anyway, I have nothing so special to hide, it's just the little things and silly things that I appreciate. Hehe.

Hey there zerocharly, my parents do not really bother about this because they are busy. However, I am someone who likes to read other people's SMSes eventho it's rude and annoying IF and ONLY IF i get caught. SO far, I never got caught reading other people's SMSes. I know it's a bad habit but we all have bad habits. Not saying it's a good thing to do but it's one of the weird things I like to do. ^^ Have a nice day zeroCharly.
