Leaving your URL, is it rude?

If you will leave the referral url in your response or discussion ,then it will be considered as spam ,but if you will give the URL only supporting t the answer of the discussion,i think it will be ok.

That's a very good question. As per my views as I see from senior members these are the points to be noted.
[b]If you leave a url like something[dot]com/?aff=efdsnkj, that would be treated as spam as it is an affiliate link.
If you leave a url like yoursite[dot]com, that would not be treated as spam. But be sure you use it only whenever it is needed. If you are discussing a topic related to your site, then only leave your url. If you leave url in every discussion you make, you will be treated as spammer and will be deleted by the system. Safeguard your account by using it very rarely.[/b]

If you offer it to someone and it is on topic then I don't see a problem with it. Unless it is a money making site and you post it on the thread someone else started where they are also sharing their blog. That seems like jumping their thread and that is rude.
