I mean when we write letter or address on covers, do you write your qualification also..such as Saivenkat Abc, Professor of ***** university, or some thing like that..
I don't use my qualification after my name.... i feel that it some thing of advertising.. unnecessarily carried out..
Even in mylot i see some of them never forget to add their qualification even in their signatures.. Of course it may their habitual way.
What do you do friend.. post your degree, after your name..or just simple like me..
Cheers
Saivenkat.

Hi saivenkaat802003! I just keep mine simple. If they will ask my credentials then I will be willing to give it as long as it is necessary for me to do so. I have nothing against those people who do write their titles, qualifications or credentials after their names, I guess they were used to it and it really is no big deal for me if I see it after their names. I guess, we just have different ways, that's all.
Take care always..God Bless!

.I can understand whom you are referring to.Actually was away from myklo as I think one account of that person got bannaed. that person has got multiple accounts here. again back with another one and again started boosting about. I think writing your qualification with name is just making mockery of yourself. may be any are much qualkified than this fellow

hi saivenkaat,
i hardly (maybe never) add my qualification after my name. i think it's quite embarrassing just i my opinion. i include it only when it's really necessary to do that, like when i write an application letter. but for normal occasions, i don't usually use it. i want to be treated as a man, not a professor (well, i am not a professor anyway )

Hello saivenkaat802003
I don't have any qualifications after my name apart from dogsbody and bottlewasher!! . I think if I was clever enough to get such a qualification I would probably use it, as I would be so proud of the hard work I had done to achieve the degree, why shouldn't I?

It depends upon the type of letter. If it's a formal communication, then it's usually required that I place the qualifications or degrees. If it's informal, then there's no need to. People need not to know all my qualifications unless I'm applying for a job.

well..i guess some people are used on reflecting what they had accomplished or a doctorate or a license or something..especially on correspondence or same to that effect..but not in my lot of course...well for me i had nothing to add on my name...im just a bookkeeper ..and even my husband and daughter whose a license engineer will not affix the additional name prior to their names...but if it pertains to office correspondence then its a must i guess..to affix it...

I don't have any second opinions, in adding qualifications in our name in places where it is mandatory, but in places like forums, or in chat rooms.. when some one uses it.. it seems something odd...
Your daughter and you hubby has an approach that "engineers to perfection"
Take care friend.

hi saiven!
i don't always put my title after my name whenever i write my name. i only put it on official documents like application forms for a training or a seminar or anything that requires formal introduction of oneself. if its just an informal letter, like a letter for a friend or family, i would not write my title/designation.

I do use qualifications at times in my cover letter as I believe in many cases, those who are looking at resumes, especially as attachments in email's that the resume gets overlooked and never opened. I like to add one small paragraph with the qualifications that I hope will get the attention of the hiring manager.

Hi,
I don't usually write my qualifications unless I'm filling up a form or something. Most of the time doctors do that, I guess.

hi saivenkaat802003. No i don't write my qualification while i write down my name.
Obviously, when there is column about qualification to fill up, i do write about my qualification.

I feel the way you do about writing your name and your qualification.Granted I only have one degree but I nevr announce it as I think that is unnecessary unless you are looking for a job and hoping to impress your emplyers .In forums like mylot though I see that as unnecessary.

I wish I could also write down my qualification. Unfortunately I am not professional:) If one day I can be so professional, I don't want to write down my qualification. That's because it seems that I want to get attention. Bill Gates doesn't have any qualification besides his name, but who dare to say he is not a professional person?
I love China

hi there. usually i don't because i feel it's like bragging the master degree that i have but there are just circumstances that i need to put in there, especially for official papers at work wherein they need to have my degree come with a comma after my name. i don't have issues with and i usually even carry my nickname more than my entire name. LOL. happy mylotting!

Although i do have a degreee, I don't think I need to let everyone know about it. Unless it is on a business card and has something to do with the service you provide or the job you do, I think it is just kin of boastful and a way to pat yourself on the back. I never use any qualifications, my name should be enough.
