Exactly thats it, it happened in London. The toddler's name is Max McGrath. This boy unlocked the door, by 3 Am,.. while his parents were in deep sleep...and walked 2.5 kms straight to the super market to buy sweets.. To his anguish the super market was closed.. but he peeked into the windows..and found a delivery driver, who has just finished his night shift. That man took the little one, to his parents but failed to wake any one there, as they were fast asleep.. http://www.dnaindia.com/report.asp?newsid=1182107 Kids, nowadays are doing the darn things that we could have hardly imagined in our child hood... What do you say..

That is one clever little boy, and one very lucky little boy too. Anything could have happened to him, it does not bear thinking about really. I do think we forget though how clever our little ones can be, even though we consider them babies still in their heads they work things out at a fast rate. I know with my daughter, sometimes she does things or says things and I realise that is she is more cleverer than I give her credit for! I must now move my door keys to higher places at night times!

LOL, she is fine, she still occasionally uses those words if anyone upsets her but she knows that I do not like her too and so she is learning to hold her tongue!

Hi ya saivenkaat802003 Well I live in England and I don't recall hearing this story, maybe it hit the news the other week when I was holiday and didn't listen to the radio much or watch the tv. Anyway I was talking to my friend only the other day and we were retelling a story of how one morning she woke with a start to the noise of her twins boys aged 4 at the time shouting at 6.30 am. She jumped out of bed and ran around the house looking for them but couldn't find them. Then she heard some banging at the front door and they were shouting let us in. They had got their pillowcases full of toys and told their mum they were on their way to my house to see my son to play with him but they had got to the top of the road and decided it was too far and luckily came home. Since then she keeps the front door locked even though they are nearly 8 now. I lock the front door always even when I am in because I would be worried that my youngest would get out but I keep the key in the door in case of a fire.

O! your friend had a good time,..and its lucky that her kids returned considering the distance as too far.. It is really hard times for the parents in bringing up these kids.. we cannot guess what the kids have in their mind..They have their own way of looking this world..

Very true and we can only do what we can to protect them without wrapping them in cotton wool!

For a three year old to to that is really strange! How could he do it all by himself! I am too much amazed! But undoubtedly kids are far more smarter than we were! I was a dumbo chubby kid who would dare go against her mother. This much I remember. laughs...

I read your message. One thing I may ask about the status of the main doors of the residence at 3 a. m. Were the doors not locked or bolted inside for secuity reasons at that silent hours of night? If bolted or locked, then how a 3 year old child can open it? Whatever may be the age group, safety is first and of prior importance! Isn't it? I may focus more about the ignorance of the parents on this rare incident! Thanks for this rarely alarming incident as your topic!

This little boy knew exactly what he wanted and he was determined to get them even in the middle of the night. He wasn't old enough to know which shop would be open at 3am. I think only one supermarket in my home town is open 24 hours a day except on Sunday. Some petrol stations stay open 24 hours a day. It is so lucky that the delivery driver found the little boy and returned him home. He might have got run over or been snatched by someone. Children are doing things that I wouldn't have dreamed of doing in my early childhood. All homes should have smoke alarms. Then if the parents are sleeping they will know that their house is on fire. The little boy's parents may lock all outside doors in the future.

Hi saivenkaat802003! I have seen that news in the newspaper when I visited my father two days ago and my first reaction to that was.."Oh my God!" I was just thankful that no harm has fallen to this young sweet-tooth adventurer. I am so thankful that Max was found by kind people. He is such a brave kid who will do anything just to get his sweets but I hope that his parents will be more careful and keep the keys out of young Max's reach. Thank God for his safe return to his parents. Take care always..God Bless!

Hi dear friend! It can still be repaired but the thing is, I will be spending so much for its parts and repairs; so, it is better to just sneak in my husband's pc from time to time whenever possible. haha.. lovelots..faith210

This little boy was a very determined one wasn't he. He is very lucky because so much could have happened to him. I'm surprised that he got so far with out someone seeing him earlier. There must not have been any traffic at that time of the night in that area. He was so lucky that the delivery man was a good person too. His parents are going to have to do a better job of hiding the key not just put it up higher because he will find a way to get to it if he wants to. They do know how to climb at that age. My youngest daughter could climb to the top of the kitchen cupboards.

Now a days you have no idea what is on little people minds. The had his mind set on candy and went to get it. It's scary but he got guts. Now his parents have to find better locks for the door ones that he can't reach.

I was in total shock upon reading this. How could a three year old do it? It seemed he has the mind of a ten years boy. I am really amazed about this.

I am really speechless on this child max and how do the parents slept so tightly in the night without knowing the child are walking in the street alone and dark just to buy a candy, i hope the parents would make the door in double locked and put the key near for them so that the child will not go out like this time again......and the good thing is there is still some other people who are not doing anything for the child......
