hi there, i can really relate to that, having a know it all clinical instructor. what i just deed is go with the flow if i think there is really nothing to worry about but if you think there is something wrong with the way he/she act or teach, then you can ask help or tell it with the level head coordinator regarding your problem. this is not to make name or popularity reason but because you are also concern with you other co-students and this might be corrected as early as possible not having any bigger damage.. you dont want to have to spread the wrong doings. after all it is life that we are handling not a machine.

hi thanks for the reply. well most of our group had words with her already and some boycotted class during her shift. we are hoping she will realize that her attitude is not sitting well with her students and maybe she can change and be what C.I.s are meant to be, teach like you love the profession and not use being a C.I. as a release for whatever bitterness she feels.

Hi.. I am working as a part time clinical instructor..And I understand your concern regarding unreasonable CI's.. hehehe Well, though I am not one of them but I think you just have to deal with your teachers. As of this time, it takes a little more patience from you. We may not tend to understand but soon when you become a registered nurse like me, you will realize everything happens for a reason and we may not know, your experience with your terror teacher will motivate you, not in terms of following his or her deeds but encourage you to do better :-D

hi thanks for the reply. ^_^ anyway this C.I. has it in her mind that whenever her students asks her question they are testing her knowledge and skills. then when she asks us questions she doesn't stop until she finds a questions that we can't give an answer to. this however made us wonder if she is just bitter with herself and life. -_-

as a student nurse, i have accepted the fact that i will be dealing with horrible clinical instructors. i think it has already been my daily routine to hear them shout here and there while reprimanding students. i can still remember the first time i was scolded by my C.I. during a return demonstration. i really felt cold and numb considering that there are other students who can hear and see how the C.I. reprimanded me. but as years past, i have realized that it is important to have that as your foundation for future tests in life which may seem very hard to deal with. =p
