why are they banning smoking but trying to legalize....

why are they trying to ban cigarettes, but are trying to legalize marajuna? It isn't making sense to me.

That is a very good question.
We have the same situation here in the United Kingdom where restrictions on smoking move a step further each day while campaigns to legalise mariajana are gaining impetus.
It would seem to me that most of the people involved in both campaigns are doing so because it is popular, and therefore they wish to be identified with it.
