Is quite saddening the way we value human life...

We see all these associations and agencies that are committed for the rights of the animals and such. I have no problem for that and I feel strongly that such institutions should exist everywhere but why is that we all become so severely depress and filled with anger and resentment when a few dogs or any animal in general are killed while knowing that millions of millions of babies are dying in third world countries because they don't have the basic necessities of life? Are we that blind? Don't we value human life? How could we be that indifferent and that selective? No wonder wars, even in this century of globalization and modernization, exists. If we all start valuing one another as humans, then future holds to be potentially peaceful.

I guess we get upset about animals because usually it is a local thing but the wars and famine seem so far away and it seems no matter how much money is put into solving it, it never seems to make much difference, personally I think this world could be a wonderful place if all the money that is put into wars and space ecploration were put back into this world to fix up the mess we have all created....

How true it is what you say here. War has become a business and a big money making franchise. If even a small fraction of that money is used to help make this world a better place to live in, I strongly believe that we can end world hunger. But unfortunately, those people who like to keep us in a state of war and terror have a different agenda to follow.
All we can do is be optimistic. Thank you for sharing your viewpoint.

I agree wholeheartedly. Sometimes our priorities are not properly aligned. We should consider human life as the most priority. You're right of course that we should value one anoher because it is in valuing one another that we can truly value ourselves. All the best.

Human life should be our utmost interest and priority every single time. I am not saying that animals don't deserve their rights but sadly, we have became too indifferent as humans and are humane behavior too has evolved to become very selective and discriminatory.
We share the same planet, we all are human beings, why can't we live together in peace and harmony? It is as simple as accepting your mistakes and flaws and being the first one to take a step and wave the hand forward towards peace and hopefully, others would follow too. Because love can be contagious and peace, if shown properly, can be tempting as well. Thank you for stopping by.
