How To Teach A 10 Year Old

At the peak of wanting to explore and play and discovering new things, how do you deal with a 10 year old and make them study specially for exams? I hope you can give me some tips on how you handled this crisis. LOL

Well we have pretty similar thoughts on this I guess. A little bit f strictness is really go and in my point of view it will be good for a child to have this at a young age. He or she can then learn a lot about responsibility and at the same time learn of how it feels to be loved. I think one day you will make a great mom, but don't rush into being one yet. Wow you have learned so many. I majored in Nursing back when I was in college.

I think the vocation of the nursing need a lot of patience,Right??By the wat ,what is the best response??Is it that if I start a new discussion ,then I can give somebody who i think his response is the best one , or the best response is judged by mylot which has a criterion?? dealing with children is a bit difficult..and its also quite challenging. if u want the children to listen to u then u ve to be a good friend as well as a good teacher!!.make them realise the need for education.. give them their ambition inlife! don ever force them to study.. help me to create an interest towards studying...
when that interest is being created in children.... they dont even need a person to sit beside them and teach them...

Thanks for the response. :) being a 10 year old, do you think they can realize the need for education at an early age? Indeed forcing them to study will never result in anything good. I guess its just hard for me to imagine having an interest to study at such an early age because I for one didn't have that much interest in studying. LOL I preferred to watch cartoons and explore the world around me. :)

ya thats the age to watch cartoon yaar! and that the only age wer we r free to do such thing.. so don take the chance away from the child.... its all about doing things sidebyside.. you have to study with some entertainment side by side..
i have always studied and scored good marks sitting in front of the tv.. *_*

This is really hard and chalanging work to teach 10 yr old .because they are awaear about what is stuady how to do it what is the importance of it.they only know one thing that is playing .
first of all u have to judge his/her mind what kind of behave they doing.u have to stuady all about his risponse.
make them feel easy with u.
try to understand his problem and solve that in his langauge.
try to find out his weakness and diffculty and do u ur best to resolve that.
judge his mand in which subject he is intrested in a.
try to make base sub he is intrested in.And take easy with other sub.

good tip. :) is it just me or do you also think that children nowadays are a bit wiser than we were back in the good old days? LOL Do you think its wise to focus on one area of interest alone since a 10 year old needs to know basic/general knowledge?
