I was in shock when I've heard the news that some parts of the opening ceremony of Beijing Olympics was faked with the help of computer graphics. The 29 fireworks towards the bird's nest, the cute little girl singing, and the full gathering of the crowd we're all fake. I felt betrayed and cheated.

The lip synching is the cute girl singing in the opening ceremony. As I watch it for the first time, I was so impressed that I've posted my comments about it here but when I found out last night that it was a good old fake, I was shattered.

Yeah, I'm not against about chinese people. It's just that I've had high expectations on this event since it's the first for a sleeping giant China to host a highly-participated worldwide event.

I also just heard today that the little girl singing was faking. On the surface, this is not so bad. Lots of things in shows are faked these days with computer graphics and stuff. I've come to expect it. But it left me wondering just who WAS singing? Who recorded that song and why didn't they just use her? Was she not cute enough? or is she too old now or something, that it wouldn't have been as spectacular?
It was still a spectacular show. I especially was surprised when all those people popped out from under those blocks. I really thought that was all done by computer. Hey, maybe it was, and those people were faking it too hahaha!
What do you mean by "the full gathering of the crowd?" Do you mean that on TV it looked like there were more people there than there really were? Did they put people in the crown with computer graphics?

The real singing kid on the opening ceremony wasYang Peiyi. She was allegedly not allowed to appear on TV on olympics just because she had a crooked teeth. Just because she has a bad set of teeth she's not allowed to appear on the world stage even though she's good on singing. I felt anger for this.
About the crowd that I meant of, alleged reports of media were saying that the crowd on bird's nest was not really full of people at all. Instead, olympic volunteers were allowed to sit on the audiences' chairs so that the gap will not be seen on camera and to prevent the happy event that the organizers were setting up to be spoiled.

These things haven't bothered me so much. It's not unusual for people to lip sync. (Do you really think Britney Spears sings at her concerts?) Pavaroti even lip synced at the last performance he gave because he was sick at the time. I was suprised at just how perfectly that little girl sang and just how cute she was at the same time. But still, I don't think it's a big deal.
I hadn't heard that the fireworks weren't real. Oh well. It was still the best Opening Ceremony ever, in my opninion.

The part about this that I think is the worst is the part about the little girl singing.
How this must've hurt the real singer's feelings, she's only a child. I feel sad for her.
I also cannot believe that China would lie about their entrants ages, especially when the Olympics are being held in their own country. They should be ashamed of themselves for that.
I am not talking about the Chinese people, I want you to know, I am talking about their government who allowed or forced these things to happen.
It's all a shame.

Yeah, that's my point. I feel sad for the little girl. In any way she may be affected with this. I can't believe she was dumped just for dental imperfection. In simpler words, physical attributes.
