I haven't read it yet so please don't give anything away. I just want to know a little about it because I heard it's a really good book. Thanks!

In all fairness, these are not adult level books. They are meant for pre-teen/teens to read. She has an adult book out. Have you read that? I was told by a lady at the bookstores that the writing is a lot stronger and it is in an adult voice.

I'm reading the Host at the moment.
I wouldn't really say the writing is any better, but reading a book isn't about the writing but the story.
in no way is saying Twilight is cheesy and cliched a criticism. I love the books.
and I mostly read teen fiction, as it has more imagination than most of what is aimed at adults, and the quality of writing is usually, to be fair, better than that.
but.
I've read all four books twice since I discovered them a few months back.
so I am in no way criticising them. I love them.
I love them for what they are, rather than in spite of it.
they are charming, and have a real heart.
The Host is also very very readable.

OMG you have to go pick up the books. About 2 years ago I got a Barns & Noble flyer about the books and thought "hey that's funny, she has the same name as me". My now MIL thought the same thing and emailed me her flyer too LOL I Had every intention of starting to read the series at that point and never did. Now I am kicking myself!
The Twilight series is AWESOME. I started reading the books on Monday and am almost finished book 3 (i would have finished it Wednesday but we don't have the money for book 4 so I am trying to only read a few chapters at a time).
Go to the store now and get the book. It is really cheap if you get the paperbacks. I spent a bit more on hardback because I like keeping books I know I will read again.

I just finished reading the first book and found it throughly marvelous and enjoyable. It was well written and quite engrossing. Stephanie Meyer is a great writer. I couldn't wait to finish it to find out what happened.
My husband surprised me with the second book when I was almost finished with the first book. It encouraged me on to stay up late and finish the book. It took all my willpower to go to bed instead of starting the second book.
It hinted at the violence rather than straight out describing it. Very well written.

I'm not a big Sci Fi reader but I LOVE these books!! It's a guilty addiction. I highly reccomend them. They are meant for teenagers but the love story is something that anyone can appreciate it!
